Hello reader-folks,

This group has been a bit inactive. I want to personally apologize for this. I had to become a caregiver and work at the same time. I want to thank Connie for keeping the book alive.

But now, it is time to get back to reading. I personally have been surviving off audiobooks as they are easier for me due to my commute.

It is now October and we have 3 months to get to our goal. How many books do you have left to reach your goal?

We hope this read-a-thon will help you inch a few books closer.

After this Read-A-Thon, there will be one more. I will post it on a new schedule thread.

Let's get on reading.

Fall readathon
October 13th (Saturday) 10 AM to October 20th (Saturday) 10 AM

Keep us updated as to your progress!

We are so glad to have Morrigan back! I have been inactive due to RL issues, too, but look forward to getting back in the swing of reading with the group again. I am looking forward to the Read-a-thon!

Rachel (thedoctorscompanion) | 107 comments Yay! I have been really trying to read more and have less screen time in my life, and I'm reading some amazing books right now so I'm definitely up for the challenge!! Perfect timing. Maybe I will get my husband to join me.

Georgia, Kristi, and Rachel, we are so happy that you are joining us for the Read-a-Thon. Rachel, we would love to have your husband join in, too! Just more fun!

Ann A (readerann) Happy to see this group reviving! I will be traveling and can't join in the October Readathon, but should be able to participate in December. Any excuse to justify extra reading time ;)

I have read 63 books so far this year - it's not looking great for making my goal of 100, but I'll keep trying.

Nancy H | 561 comments I love the Read-a-thons, so I am definitely in for this one. I love to see what everybody is reading, and I like to have an 'excuse' - or is that 'reason'? - to read intensely! I have read 172 books so far this year but my goal is 225, so I have a way to go yet. This will definitely help!

Cris Bergin (sunflower6_cris) | 8 comments 4 books left to go but I actually have more than that I want to squeeze in this year!

I am done with my goal of 50 books. I am trying to push it to 75. I have been in a memoir and biographies kick lately and some are 700+ pages. I am trying to listen to the biographies and read the fiction books.

It seems like a good plan for me. I have a 30 minute commute each way and a lot of driving around for work. Each day is like a history lesson. I love it.

But, I have mostly read non-fiction books this year and I miss my fiction wonderlands.

I am going to choose a couple fiction books for the RAT.

Amber’s Bookish Journal (introverted22) | 1 comments I'm down for a read a thon! Here's hoping I get my school work done to actually read! I am in the 60's and trying to get to 100. Here's hoping I can inch myself a little bit closer!
