This month's horror theme choice is Invisible Man.

Allan Phillips Just finished it. Not particularly horrifying, but perhaps we're jaded by technology so many years later. I did feel that the story was more about practical aspects and immediate physical needs and actions than any future plans, diabolical or otherwise. It left me feeling that were so many more things he could have done with this premise, very unique at the time. Understandable, I suppose, given the time it was written.

Jim Davis | 58 comments Read the book and saw the movie in my early teens in the early 60's. Don't remember much about either. I have to think about whether I want to reread it for old times sake.

Phil | 58 comments I was a fun read. I had read a few other Wells novels, and had this one on my shelf for years. Super quick read in any case.

Rafael da Silva (morfindel) | 60 comments Forgive me. I am not reading it because my tablet died and I cannot afford another one by now. I indicate it and I was eager to read it, but I probably will not, by now.

Suki St Charles (goodreadscomsuki_stcharles) | 9 comments This is one of those classics, like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, that I have been aware of for most of my life and have been familiar with the general plot, but never read. I am happy to finally have read it; it started out to be almost slapstick, but got serious fairly quickly. Although it isn't really horror by today's standards, the thought of someone I can't see creeping around my house wishing to do me harm is unsettling, to say the least.
