Comment your unpopular opinions of books everyone loves but you hate/dislike

One of my least favrouite series is Lord of The Rings/The Hobbit, everyone loves them and I'm not a massive fan

I haven't read LOTR yet, but I'm determined to^^ once I tried to start but didn't make it past the first 2 chapters^^
A book everyone loves that I didn't is ACOMAF. But I don't hate it, I only didn't get all the hype. Same goes for Red Rising.

I do like ACOMAF but I agree on red rising, I'm gonna reread it at some point because everybody loves it and hopefully I enjoy it then. I love trying books twice just to see if my opinions change.

Everyone seems to LOVE Harry Potter. I’ve never been a huge fan! I don’t know why. I just never got into it.

Same, I just didn't like they hype around it. Like the books were good but not great or enough for me to be a potterhead
