I will be reading this but I am still only halfway through Assassin’s Quest and I have several other books I need to get through this month for other Goodreads groups (and I think one for this group, too). Real life is pretty overwhelming right now...

Normally this pace would be fine for me but real life has been pretty overwhelming for me since the last week of September. Hoping things settle down next week.
There were some fairly strong reactions to the schedule when I set it out as a month and a half per book because that would take us well into 2020 to finish...I'm open to changing if the group wants it?

I’m still OK with one per month, but I’m retired and (usually) have more flexibility for reading time. I’m OK with whatever people prefer. I will keep reading the series regardless and will participate in the discussions.

It's one thing for people to think they generally can read the book in a month... but with 16 books, that means having to succesfully read the book within a month 16 times in a row, and over the course of more than a year I think a lot of people will have something come up at least one month, which tends to deter them from trying to catch back on.
So how about a catch-up month between each of the trilogies? Those who have fallen behind can use the extra month to catch up, while for those who haven't you could start a discussion on the trilogy as a whole while they wait.
The total time added to the read would come out as a smaller extension than giving each book five weeks, much smaller than a month and a half per book, but it gives people more flexibility.

I like this idea. We are into the 2nd trilogy so maybe a catch-up month after the Liveship books?

I like it too. Let's make it happen. Should I build a catch-up month into the schedule after each trilogy, for the future? I can amend the schedule if that sounds good to everyone.

Yes, please.
