SUMMARY:
In this challenge, participants are paired up to choose and read a book from their partner's read shelf and compare how they each rated the book. It's a fun way to discover new books, to read from different genre(s), and to make PenPal connections. This challenge repeats monthly, and you sign-up separately for each month you wish to participate.

COMPLETING THE CHALLENGE
- Week 1: Review your paired partner's 'Read shelf' and choose a book(s) to read. Post to this thread to update your partner on the book chosen. (You can ask them for suggestions too!)
- Week 1-4: Begin reading, and post any updates/thoughts as you read.
- Week 3-4: Complete your read, and post to the thread with final thoughts on the book and comparing how you and your partner each rated the book.

Participation = Post to thread (book choice), Read book, Post to thread (finished book thoughts)

NOTE:
- Please only sign-up if you are confident you have time to choose and read a book. If you are no longer able to participate after signing up, message a Mod or update this thread, so we can re-match, and no-one is left without a partner for the month!
- Remember to re-visit this thread on November 1 to see who you have been paired up with for the month (adding a calendar reminder helps!)

Hi Therese! Happy to be paired with you too :) I really loved The Night Circus, if you love books which are really descriptive and immersive then I would highly recommend it, it is definitely one of my favourite books! I found Crazy Rich Asians to be ok, there was a lot of drama, if you want a chilled easy read then I would go for it. Which Jane Auten novel were you thinking of?

I'm looking through your shelf and you have quite a few books that I like/want to read, so I don't know where to begin!

You have many books that I've thought about reading for a very long time. I picked out a couple of books, but unfortunately, all of them fell away, as I was unable to get them. Right now, I'm trying to decide between And Then There Were None and The Kite Runner.

I loved this book and hope you do too! I completely got sucked in.

Mion I've read both of these and recommend them both! They're very different though haha have you made a decision

Hi Therese! I finished Six of Crows and I really enjoyed it, I kept trying to guess what would happen next but Kaz was always one step ahead. I am now reading the second book! Have you started The Night Circus? If you have I hope you are enjoying it as well :)

I finished A Court of Thorns and Roses. I really loved it .

I really liked the initial parts where the protogonist had to fend for herself . The book was truly magical and fascinating for me. It had a lot of elements that were similar to Beauty and the beast yet they are unique in their own way.

The skipped through a few parts in the end as am not usually a patient person and was in a hurry in the end. But I loved it in the end .

I rated it 4 stars too and am hoping to read the next part too sometime.

Hi Therese, I really did! Inej is my favourite character, as she is so resilient even when she's afraid. I shall, I'm close to halfway and wondering how they will pull off the new job. How is Red Sister? I was also thinking about reading it. I hope that you do, the writing is amazing.

Hi there! I have been in kind of a reading slump but I have When Breathe Becomes Air and intend to at least start it before the month is through - sorry I am reading slower than normal! but I will definitely let you know what I think. Totally understandable - the Wife Between Us is a bit predictable!! Hope you still liked it okay :)

Okay! I have officially started When Breath Becomes Air and i'm hooked... i"m about 1/3 of the way through and I have to keep stopping so that I dont cry on my commute to work!

I finished When Breath Becomes Air on Thursday!! Holy smokes... I was sobbing so much - I loved this book. it had me thinking so deeply about life and pondering what I want out of it. Also, as someone who has thought about pursuing medicine it was interesting to read it through that lens.

I love it! overall I gave it 5 stars! thanks bc if it wasnt for you or this challenge I wouldn't have read it!
