Play Book Tag discussion

Overall this was a 'meh' read for me, and I am worried that I chose the wrong medium by listening to the audio. An interesting premise, but it didn't pull together as well as I would have liked. I in no way shy away from dark novels, in fact most of my favourite novels are dark indeed, but the darkness in this tale seems gratuitous and without explanation at times. It failed to draw me in emotionally and I was left feeling ambivalent. I'm tempted to read it rather than listen to it, because so many of my bookish friends have rated it much higher than I have.

I set it aside, hoping I’ll be in the mood for it some other time. The feels just aren’t in the writing- it seems clinical, almost.

I agree Tracy. I found it surprising that people in another group I just joined rate it highly and want it to win. Did you do the audio too?
