Picked up a copy of this at the library today. Lukewarm reviews at best, but will give it a try.
On page 54. It’s only the first week of the year. A lot of these players are either managers/coaches or work for MLB Network in some capacity now. The only constant is Brady showing up on opening day. Slow moving at first but at least the conversations between the authors are intelligent for fans.

I am already not impressed at page 26. I have to head to the library this morning as the Jackie Robinson book the Mike A recent gave five stars is ready for me to pick up. I will probably return this one.
I finished and while it wasn’t the best I did appreciate the feeling of the Sox winning their first one. All the feelings from two years came flooding back. Plus Stephen King is funny when he’s not writing his usual genre and scaring the daylights out of me. I rated it 3.5.
Lance, if we’re both going to read the Jackie bio I guess we can put a thread up for that as well in case others decide to join in. It’s in the on deck circle for me.

Okay..with December 1 this Saturday, we can make it a moderator's choice. Will see if we can copy and past Mike's review there too.
