"Red Cavalry" is an excellent idea, but I would strongly recommend waiting a few months. Babel is difficult to translate well, and in November Pushkin Press will be bringing out a new translation, by Boris Dralyuk, that is infinitely better than the existing ones. (I have seen it in proof.)
