Every month, throughout the year, we will be hosting a different reading challenge. This topic is where you need to be to check what challenges will be coming your way in the future!
January Jam Jar is dedicated to two things.
> All those people out there who are able to use a jar to decide their next read.
> The past year has flown by and we all have so many books left that we wanted to read before the next one came knocking on our doors!
Combining those two leads to a jar filled with the books we really wanted to read in 2018.
Every time you finish a book, you simply pick the next one by pulling a title out of your TBR jar!
Fantastic February is dedicated to that whole mountain of fantasy and paranormal books you have lying around. Time to tackle those!
March is going to be about all the monstrous books! Think thrillers, horrors, spooky reads. Anything you find monstrous counts!
April is all about contemporary. Whether it's adult contemporary or young adult contemporary, it doesn't matter.
As long as it's contemporary, it counts!
Moody May is dedicated to all those lovely mood readers out there to go nuts with their mood reading!
No set TBR's, no specific books to read. Simply read what you feel like reading at that exact moment.
This month, we pick up what we want to pick up!
Jazzy June is all about taking time for yourself and the books you really want to reread. Yes, you saw that right! It’s time for a rereading month!
But starting 2020, there's an additional option for the people who aren't as interested in rereading or want something else. Instead of rereading, you'll be reading books you saw on people's May TBR's!
We’ve had fantasy, we’ve had thriller and horror. So I’d say it’s time to add in some science fiction in the mix with Sci-fi July!
For the bloggers and reviewers out there, August is mostly about catching up on ARC’s [Advance Reading Copies] during ARC August, which is hosted by Read.Sleep.Repeat. So those count for this challenge as well! As for the non-reviewers, August is all about books we put on previous TBR-lists but never actually read. Time to catch up on those!
Since we all have the tendency of wanting to read as many books as possible, we sometimes neglect all the wonderful sequels of the books we’ve read.
What better than having a month dedicated to those sequels in order to get them read?! It’s the perfect motivation, excuse or reason to finally pick them up and decrease your TBR-pile a bit!
Now since we all know that our own physical TBR’s can get equally out of hand – ha, that's why we started these challenges to begin with.. – there’s now a month to dedicate to all the books you own!
You can pick to go with books you owned before 2019. Or before Summer. Or before October. Just.. Books you already had before October started!
Remember all those challenges you started throughout the year? Those lists of books you were going to read, prompts you were going to tick off, goals you were going to reach?
The end of the year is nearing, guys!
That’s why I’m dedicating this month – Remember November – to remembering and catching up on all those challenges, goals and reading lists! Time to take matters into our own hands again!
December is dedicated to all the diverse books out there. It doesn't matter in what way a book is diverse. Whether it's ethnicity, LGBTQIA+ or a representation you think of as diverse.. Simply, diverse!
