minhyuk was born with two silver spoons in his mouth. both of his parents came from a long lineage of riches dating back to the 1900's. Both his mother and father run multibillion companies, and own stocks in many companies such as apple, google, and microsoft, along with building million dollar tech. his older sister xixi do takes after her parents with stunning looks, and a sparkling personality. his parents believe that somewhere along the way minhyuk went wrong. the boy is all about the supernatural, along with the fantastical, and exploring the unknown. they hoped to direction this fascination towards becoming an astronaut, yet the only thing that happened was him discovering the possibilities of aliens out there, now make no mistake, this doesn't mean that he is easily fooled or gullible, he in fact quite intellegent, and has maintained a 4.0 gpa for most of his life, as a potential successor of his parents buisness, he understands what needs to be done, but nothing has erased the childlike wonder inside of him.
so much so that for his senior year, he packed all his bags and bought his own apartment in warwick, washington simply because of the highest probability of something, or perhaps someone being unordinary. his family cherishes and loves him to death, and figures they should allow him to have his fun before joining the buisness world. mai has always had it tough. her mother died of cancer when she was young and her father seemed to think that work only mattered. mai grew up with the help of babysitters and learning life as she went. this wasn't uncommon as she lived in the big apple her whole life. it wasn't until she was 17 that her life flipped. her father was a lawyer, a good one for the longest time but new york wasn't cheap. soon he too bribes and it lead to his ass being in jail. this lead mai to being left only and nobody seemed to like that. her only living family was her grandfather, whom she never met before, from her mother's side. he was chieftain on his tribe at the time and he happily took mai in and is trying to teach her the way of the tribe, instead, she has taken to disobeying everything the old man has said.
mai is a rather rebellious girl. she tends to point her anger at everyone around her whether they have wronged her or not. this usually gets her into trouble cause she doesn't know when to shut her mouth. because of this she has a temper problem and blows quite easily. for the sake of trying to protect herself mentally, she is very defensive and will fight easily. once under all the bad about her mai is funny and loves a good joke and prank. she's pretty cheeky when it comes to it. and she loves having fun.

↝ born in warwick to two college kids, he was never wanted. he bounced from one foster home to the next, with his moon-shaped birthmark on his wrist scaring the people into thinking that he was a werewolf. he was always dependent on himself, until he met jonathan and leona caltan, two other foster kids who became his best friends, and the three of them depended on each other. they eventually found a home in eric's grandmother, may, who took the three of them in after finally finding out that eric was her grandson. the three of them were happily living with his grandmother until one night, when jonathan was found dead in her bed, and it turned out that his grandmother was the one who killed him and that she was a hunter and jonathan was a siren, and his grandmother figured it out. leona was an succubus, but she didn't make it too obvious for eric's grandmother, at least until she found out and leona too, was almost killed when eric thrust a knife into his grandmother's back, realizing that he couldn't let her kill more people around him. leona and eric now live in his grandmother's old house, trying to keep themselves alive and fed. leona, being twenty-one, is being a teacher at school to keep them all well-fed.

As a (hopeful) future journalist and an intern for the local newspaper, Aria has been firmly caught up with the tales of mysterious murders and incidents that seem to be too complex to cross off as mere accidents. When her nose isn't stuffed into the nearest paperback scrawled with her own personal notes and citations, you can find it wandering in places it doesn't belong, specifically your business.
Lore and mythology have always been her favorite genre (she is actively trying to transfer to college who would offer a mythology & folklore minor) so she has her fair share of mythological knowledge. But her gullible human mind will not permit her to actually believe things such as that can possibly be true, no it's strictly fantasy. The things happening in Warwick are just coincidences, right?

unlike many who have set foot in warwick, charlotte "charlie" olson actually has had a good life. especially considering that she lived here her entire childhood. her parents have always supported her no matter what she pursued, even when they didn't have quite enough. dance, art, piano lessons, you name it she has done it at least once. at the age of eleven, charlie has always had quite the talent for photography. her father used to have quite the affinity for it, and so it passed on. after college, she had gotten quite a few jobs of people asking her to take pictures. sometimes miscellaneously, other times for full blown photoshoots. so, charlie traveled the world, taking pictures for magazines, and models alike. now she's taking a small break to visit her parents. after all she'd never be where she was without them.

Isabella is the youngest of three sisters. She is often seen in the company of Becky, her best friend, which is her dog. Ever since she was a little girl, Isabella would sneak out from the backyard of her house back in Puerto Rico and visit the woods, go around town, or her favorite place, the beach. She would take Becky, her dog, along so she wouldn't be alone. Her father worked as the president of Rey De Los Peces, also known as Fish King in English, a business he owns in selling seafood to many areas, while her mother was a stay home mom. Isabella looked up to her parents and the relationship they shared, which was full of love. But on one stormy day, when Isabella was 10, her parents were out. With the rain come down quickly, the vehicle of her parents slipped and crashed. That day the news of her mothers' death arrived with her father, who survived the crash. This left the family devastated. Her father became strict on the girls, giving them curfews, keeping them home when it rains, and doing anything that he thinks will keep them safe. Months later, when her father was suggested to expand the business to America, he took the chance, saying it was their new start. Isabella was thankful for this, hoping her father would eventually give them their freedom, but it didn’t. Years passed eventually and she warmed up to their new home, Warwick, of course after having to check out many of its places and making new friends. Isabella learned when to sneak out of home and how to avoid getting in trouble with her father, because no matter what, she couldn’t help her curious side.
In Bryce's eyes, there's nothing wrong with the town he was raised in. Years and years of walking around Warwick and he hasn't seen anything to raise any specific red flags. Sure there's whispers and murmurs in the hallway, but that's nothing to be alarmed of, that's just how high school is -- rumors and gossip. Ghost stories don't do much for him, and he is a firm believer that there's no such thing as werewolves, vampires, or really anything that could go bump in the night. And yet, he still gets unknown chills when he walks home from school every afternoon.
As a varsity basketball player with a 1310 on his SATs, Bryce isn't a stranger to having many friends and simultaneously, many enemies. He likes having people around to hype him up, hate him and to talk about him because without them he would just be another teenage boy in a normal high school filled with completely normal, ordinary students.

She's not what you could call stupid or dumb, but she's definitely kind of gullible. She's just too trusting. If someone promises to watch her drink while she runs to the restroom, she trusts them to watch it. She's too innocent to even consider that someone would ever do anything to it. It's a blessing and a curse, but she's always seen the world through rose-colored glasses. It's her friends that help keep her grounded, insist on telling her that not everything is as good and perfect as she sees it as. They help keep her from going broke with her habit of always giving away flowers. After all, she's supposed to be selling them at her shop.
Her friends help her a lot. They've always been there for her, and have been willing to step up for her when she needs it. Val is super friendly and incredibly people pleasing. It's hard for her to tell people no, and as such she's fairly easy to push around. People yelling immediately put her on edge and scared, so she's sadly fairly skittish. Her friends help her realize when someone is screwing her over, and while she's just not good at standing up for herself, they stand up for her when necessary. She has a couple different nicknames that they utilize, the most common being simply Val, or very occasionally Tina. Sometimes people misread her name as Valentine, and she lets that go. It works for her.
She was maybe not the smartest girl in class, but she always asked the teacher for help and with her looks, boys tripped over themselves to try and help her. It may have been hard, but she always did her best. It landed her with decent grades and, with her parents money to back her up, endless opportunities.
Her older brothers, while jocks, were also smart and had promising careers. One was in football, one in prelaw, and one studying to be a doctor. There was a lot of pressure to succeed and do something valuable with her life. But all she wanted to do was help people feel better. She didn't want to be in medical school; she didn't have the stomach for it. She wasn't physical enough to be a cop or a firefighter, and they were all way too serious for her. She just wanted to cheer people up.
So the obvious solution was to open a flower shop. She'd always loved flowers, and she managed to take a couple courses on small business owning and floral arrangements in college before her parents noticed what she was taking. They threw a fit about their daughter, with all those options, wanting to open up a flower shop. But that was all she wanted, so she moved out. She's still very much in touch with her family, and access to the family money for everything she needs... except her business. Childhood: Only child to the Langdon household. Ben is his father’s pride and joy. An obedient child, he never wanted to be out of the spotlight in his father’s eyes.
Teen Years: A hardworking child, he was top of the class and quite popular among his peers. He is president of the Science Club, his ability to create things tripled beyond his years and he was known for his compassion to his classmates. He soon realised his interest for both boys and girls. Unable to understand his feelings, he sought advice from his family. They all expressed their support but not all were that open. One day, he kissed one of his best friends, Benjamin, who he had a crush on since the beginning of high school. Benjamin filed a complaint to the school board, reporting harassment by Ben. As a result, Rueben was suspended for a month. When he returned after his suspension, his classmates started to drift away from him and his teachers would give him detention for unreasonable causes, such as laughing in class or moving too loudly. His popularity soon diminished and it was then when Rueben realised that didn’t have any true friends.

Karly has always been a trophy child. She was used as something to brag about at dinner parties and pushed beyond her limits to be the best of the best. She learned classical piano, took Etiquette classes, was at a high school reading level by 5th grade. Her parents were always busy so her nanny took care of her all of her childhood until her parents decided she was too old to be relying on another person to take care of her, at the age of 11, they fired her nanny, the only parental figure in Karly's life.
Karly was always lonely in her huge empty house. She sometimes felt like she had somehow been locked in a museum after hours and couldn't find her way out. When Karly was 12 her parents had another kid, a son, who became Karly's responsibility since her parents were far too busy for them. Her parents noticed her hesitation to their lifestyle when she was 15 and they decided to get her a dog. That dog became the one true love in her life, her only family besides her baby brother, and best friend.
Karly was who her parents wanted her to be in public, and who she wanted to be at home. To her classmates she was put together, Ms. Straight-A's, and full of talents. At home she was emotional, goofy, and problematic. She is insecure about how people see her due to her parents' constant scrutiny and high expectations. There is also a lot of power in her. born second to elijah and elizabeth jenkins, the most religious people ever to be on earth, she was always that kid that sat in the front of mass with her parents and her brother, quiet and praying through the whole thing. she was an outdoors kid, but over time became more of an indoors kid. her brother was almost always looked at as someone above her, because she was younger and also because he was the dream child, the perfect one who excelled in sports, academics, religion and even art. she hated it, and often went to great lengths just to get attention and notice from her parents. from early on, she had a huge passion for stars, writing, and drawing, and that's what she spent most of her childhood doing, while maintaining a 3.8 gpa. she was a naturally smart kid, but was quite lazy and often preferred to do homework last minute. she would wave to other kids in school but never really established any long bonds. she was just kind of floating in the group. she fell in love with a girl from her school, but this time, contrary to plenty of stories, the girl did like her back, and she always hid their relationship from her parents until her mother found the texts from the girl and her parents were never really supportive of lgbtq+ rights or just people, so she was instantly estranged from them, and it drew a further wedge between her parents and her. in tears and broken, she headed off to university, where she found love again, with the stars, and she moved to warwick, where she took up a post as an astronomy teacher, and has been living a quiet life, until her niece was dropped off to her. seven months of drinking, jealousy, envy, and tears. she wanted so badly to connect with her niece, hope, to reach out, to speak, but every time she looked at hope, all she saw was her brother, the perfect child, the angel, the kid who everyone loves, and she couldn't do anything about it but feel helpless. it has gotten slightly better recently, but she's still afraid to reach out. she has an undying passion for stars, drawing and writing, and does it professionally. she does indeed believe in god, and still attends mass occasionally, now with her niece.

Cordelia desperately wants to be a vampire. She needs to transform before she reaches twenty-one or else she will age past her older siblings. Cordelia is the youngest of twelve, and the Greenbriar family is rich and influential in and out of Warwick. Because she was not born in Warwick and the curse has not done anything to her, she can leave as she pleases, as can the rest of her family.
Cordelia is ambitious. She was raised by a family of cold and incompassionate vampires, of which she was the youngest, a pariah. Cordelia's family is good at adapting to the times and paying off anyone who is suspicious of them. Cordelia is the youngest of her siblings and was actually born sixteen years ago, in June of 2002. She is creative and tries her best to be funny.
Cordelia's biggest ambition is to become a vampire and she will go to any means necessary to achieve this.

Adam is somewhat of the black sheep of his family.The Newtons have always been in law enforcement, but Adam always felt his path would be different. The first hint was his older brother: while the eldest Newton was Warwick's golden boy (straight A's, star athlete, volunteers in the food bank on his weekends-boy), and well, Adam could never escape his shadow. No matter what he did, he was always "the younger Newton" or "the brother". And of course the fact that his father made the distinction of the favorite child didn't help at all.
Adam wished for a large part of his childhood to be just like his brother. He tried, but time and again it was never enough. But in the blink of an eye things were different. Adam was in middle school, riding his bike in the path in the forest and he saw...
Well he saw something. The creature was definitely not a bear, like the rest of his family wanted him to say. It was a wolf. Or something wolf-like.
That was when Adam began to pay attention to the whispers, to the rumors. If nobody in his family would believe him, he would find someone who would. He escaped his house as soon as he could, found an internship at the paper with pitiful pay, and has a small apartment in town. He's a friendly guy, a bit too dense when it comes to girls, but a hardworking and goodhearted young man. More than disgusted, he's fascinated with the supernatural, all that magic and wonder hidden in plain sight would be quite the story. And he's willing to do anything to bring the truth to light.

Unlike his extroverted and charismatic brother, Daniel Buchanan couldn't be more reserved. He prefers to sketch and paint for hours than to go out with friends. The latter would be much more appealing of course, if he actually had said friends to go out with. Daniel keeps mostly to himself, and the majority of people he knows are people his brother introduced him to. Daniel isn't unpleasant or mean by any means, and when people get to know him he's surprisingly funny, but years of being left behind didn't give him much hope in humanity.
The Buchanans seem like the perfect family. Key word here being "seem". John and Lise struggled to have children, Daniel's older sister their first miracle, and the twins being their second one. But that second miracle came with a fault. Daniel was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease shortly after he was born, starting a long and arduous journey to survive. The constant care, the trips to the hospital, it all took a toll on the family, but what was the worst for Daniel was to have to grow up away from all the experiences his brother got to have. When Jamie ran and played with other kids, Daniel would wheeze and be held back by his teachers and parents. "It's just different for you." That's what his parents told him. And so Daniel stayed in and found something he truly loved: art.
Daniel is an artist, his room is full of sketches and paintings and drawings he has made over the years, slowly becoming better, slowly finding his style. He has been told multiple times by teachers that he simply must cultivate his gift and share it in some way. And his circumstances have not limited his dreams. He watched his older sister leave for college and he plans to do the same. It pains him to think of what life would be like without his brother, without his best friend. But he also knows that he wants to see the world and all its wonders, he wants to take charge of his life, and he may only have one shot at it. He'll be damned if he doesn't take it.

Zelda never knew her father. She was raised in San Francisco by a single mother, who sacrificed her dream of becoming an actress to earn a living for herself and her daughter. They always struggled to make ends meet, her mother worked two jobs and Zelda got a part-time job as early as age fourteen, but the Gallaghers always found time to help others, as they both knew some had it worse than them. Shifts at the food bank, collecting donations for the homeless, or tutoring her neighbors, but most of their free time was occupied by giving back.
Maybe this is why she has such a positive outlook on life. Growing up with a resourceful mother, her mentality is to find solutions rather than complain about problems, to keep moving forward despite adversities, and to always, always find time for a laugh. In school she would get sent to the principal's office over and over again, always for making her classmates laugh or speaking her mind without restraint. Despite all of this, he graduated high school and went to college to obtain her degree. With piles of debt and nothing to tie her to her hometown but her job, she applied for a transfer and packed up, leaving everything behind to fulfill her mother's dying wish. She has no intention to become a part of Rodney King's life, but she figures if she can get some money out of him, that may be enough for her to ignore the pain that his abandonment caused on her family.

ambrose is a warwick born native. his family living in the town for a few generations. though, he has seemed to travel a bit over the years. summer camps, concerts to his favorite bands, etc. ambrose listening to a lot of music found himself wanting to learn more about playing instruments and how music is made. his family had always been musically gifted, his father being able to play banjo and bagpipes, his mother singing most all the time, and his siblings playing various instruments in the school's marching band. instead of going with the usual high school instrument, he decided to pick up on guitar, keyboard, soundboards. ambrose liked to be able to play things and make music. he had been looking for people to start a band with him but he also plays his instruments and adds layers of different instruments over one another to make songs. he has a few created and uploaded online hoping to get someone interested.
ambrose used to be a quiet kid growing up. he being hard of hearing always had trouble around other kids. after gaining hearing aids, ambrose fell in love with music and sound. it was something that he found that held some sort of beauty. he dealt with bullying growing up because of his hearing aids but he has been able to block everything out and expresses himself by music. now he is extremely outgoing, loud, and friendly. after his treatment with others, he learned to accept people as they are.

Nicholas has always been smart. From a young age, he was always at the top of his class, excelling in all areas of math and science. It made sense considering his mother was a successful doctor and his dad was an engineer. It made sense that the sciences would practically flow in his veins. But not only was he good at school; he also loved sports. His father played football as a kid, and when he enrolled Nick in it, the young boy fell in love. Football became his life, and when high school rolled around, he made the team as the star running-back.
At the end of his freshman year, Nick's mother came down with a sickness. At first, it seemed minor, but eventually, it grew worse and his mom finally realized what it was: Leukemia. The family tried everything, but nothing seemed to be working — not the chemotherapy, not the donations, not the prayers, nothing at all. A couple months later and he'd lost his mom completely. Nick took it hard. He quit football and his grades started to drop. He stopped hanging out with his friends and started going to random parties. His relationship with his dad has been rocky since then, and even in his senior year, they're still not on the same page. Nick doesn't know if they ever can be.

Tall, blond, blue eyes. Although it is nothing unique in the modern world where anyone can possess any trait, Jax is a natural beauty. And he likes to think he’s as such too. He keeps his hair longer than his father would’ve like out of his eldest son. But to please both sides, Jax gels it back whenever they are out in business deals or important events. Standing at 6”2, his body is mostly proportionate, but when he was younger he was teased to have long, slender legs and a short upper body. That teasing made Jax go into working out and proving those nobodies wrong, which explains the fairly decent abs he owns too.

Jax is efficient, bubbly and full of energy ready to take on any task; he's usually the joker of the group. He is outgoing, confident, and he inspires people to do their best. You'll find he is stubborn but is open to new things. When his fiery drive finally permits him to relax he can be sympathetic and exceptionally tender. His ambition propels him through life at a dizzying pace and it's amazing how much energy he has. Jax has had an easy life, born into a loving home home, raised and taken care of by two helicopter parents. There was nothing for him to complain about. He had the world ahead of him, right in his reach.
He enjoys sports, excelling in swimming. He’s going to go for a sports scholarship and hoping study business management in college. He was going to prove himself to everyone, mostly to himself. But at a swim meet, he drove the wrong way, injuring his spine at the impact with the water. He dove too deep off the diving board and struck the bottom of the pool before levelling off. At the hospital, they declared that Jax could’ve been quadriplegic, but a change in his position had left him only with a fractured bone, no nerve damage.
Now he’s postponed going to college, he passes the time doing nothing. Sometimes going with his father to the swimming pool to try to get Jax back into the sport he once loved. But with his life, with swimming he lost the passion.

Pete was born and grew up in the town of Warwick, but has no intention of staying like everyone else seems to do. Middle school is typically the time when kids really discover some place, or for some kids, some thing, that they're obsessed with. Pete was obsessed with Canada, for, like, 5 minutes, then moved on, and decided anywhere was better than Warwick, even Oklahoma, which he thought was saying something.
Pete is the oldest child, as in, his parents' first failure. But it has its perks, like, he can just walk out if the house whenever he wants, which is nice. The freedom his parents give him allowed him to get in trouble from an early age, and gain a string sense of independence.

Pete has a too cool for school sort of attitude, except now, he isn't too cool for school, and needs to clean himself up for his last year of high school so hopefully he'll have somewhere to go afterwards. Pete is very loyal to his friends, and friendly to most. But, he can't help but not give up showing that he finds posers very distasteful. He likes people who are underdogs, like him. He likes working on cars and doing handy things, and does not like lunch time at school.
