Kat makes another appearance. Your observations?

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Uhhhh, I'm drawing a complete blank here. lol

Damn that autocorrect!!! It’s supposed to say Kat. Now fixed.

Jo Ann (jojog) | 72 comments I think Sebastian is now unequivocally in love with Hero, which makes it easier for him to go to Kat when he needs information. Sometimes it seems like Kat is waiting in the wings for Sebastian to become available again.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Jo Ann! I love how Sebastian loves Hero. It was so easy for him to interact with Kat this time. Like you, I think she, however, will never get over him.

Jo Ann (jojog) | 72 comments Never! Which is why I'm always suspicious of her!!

Haha! I was racking my brain wondering who in the heck Kay was.

I agree that Sebastian is now wholly, deeply, and passionately in love with Hero now. I know I was worried about when Kat would return from her year of mourning but there has been nothing from Sebastian to indicate that he still holds onto any regrets about losing her. He seems to view her now as an old, dear friend and nothing more.

Well said.

Joanna | 139 comments I still don't like her.

And you know how something steps out of the page and you rack your brain trying to figure out what significance it has? Because surely the author wouldn't have written an offhanded sentence or two if there was no meaning to it. What was the deal about Sebastian tripping of the suits of armor (if my memory serves me right) and Kat correcting them? He's not normally that clumsy.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
Joanna, I’m not understanding your last question.

Joanna | 139 comments I might have read too much into it. It was just something that stuck out to me. It's in Chapter 18 when Sebastian goes to visit Kat the first time when he trips over some crates and collides with a suit of armor. It just struck me as strange because normally he's always moved like a cat and has perfect vision. And like some others, I don't trust Kat. Or how other people (Jarvis) could use Sebastian and Kat's relationship to harm his relationship with Hero.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 7669 comments Mod
I don’t remember that but take your point. You’re right about the author not placing meaningless details in this story. Great catch and I don’t know what to make of it.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments I remember thinking that was odd too but I have no idea if it's meant to have any deeper significance.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Hmmm... Now you have me thinking of that suit of armor. Kat is untrustworthy and I wonder if she isn't up to no good again with the Irish...

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 242 comments It feels like Kat is where she belongs. Sebastian remembers her fondly, but he is happier and complete with Hero. She gives him unconditional love, and a stability he never had as a child or an adult.
