Matt Sullivan | 13 comments Hey, Seth. Thanks for the plug. Which other thread would be a good one to promote our podcast? I feel like it's quite appropriate for this audience, and want to make people aware. And with the same breath, I'd also like to shout out to our friends at the Cromcast ;)

Vincent Darlage | 7 comments Have you promoted your podcast with the Goodreads Robert E. Howard Readers group?

Matt, glad you chimed in. This thread is already in the preferred folder, so you can just extend this thread every-time you have an episode.

Feel welcome to post additional connections to other threads that overlap/echo the same topic. For example, we have groupreads every two months (usually two topics); this time we have "Eric Brighteyes" and "Conan and the Emerald Lotus" (with connections to the Black Starlight novelette in the Marvel comics). So if you happened to be talking about those too I would first post a notice here, then feel welcome to post a blurb in the other thread.

No, but that sounds like a good spot. Thanks, Vincent!

Robin (klarkashton) | 111 comments I like the podast a lot, but I'm occasionally surprised at the gaps in the hosts' sword & sorcery backgrounds. Only just discovering Fafhrd & the Gray Mouser? I'm surprised, but also a little envious.

L.D. Whitney (ldwhitney) | 1 comments Hey, Phil! Glad you enjoy the Dollar Store Cromcast...I mean our Podcast! It's been a long while since we recorded that episode, but I'm sure I was the one who hadn't the knowledge in question. It really isn't that I hadn't heard of them, I had, but Lieber's books have always eluded me. I know they are in Kindle, but I always try for paperback. I also didn't discover Conan till 2005 when I was 21, so I was pretty absorbed in that for a good while.

Anyway, thanks for listening! We definitely appreciate it!

Oliver Brackenbury (oliverbrackenbury) | 122 comments Just finished The Religion on their recommendation, as well as their commentary that sword & sorcery can be seen as "historical fiction with a twist" rather than "fantasy", and I'm really glad I did. Count me as a new fan!
