Like most days, Ian went through today like any other day. Go so school, stay away from everyone, and try not to bite anyone’s head off. Though today, he was a little more bothered than usual. With not having to feed in a while, he tends to get cranky. It was harder to find a victim that no one would care if they went missing, not with how everyone was so social and making friends with everyone else. Disgusting. Plus, the last thing he needed was to draw attention to himself. So he was waiting it out, looking for an outcast or someone that wouldn’t be missed.
So now, he was sitting in the back of class, like always. He was able to pick out his victims by watching them throughout their day. Though he was calculating the students in his mind, the minute he heard movement next to him and the sound of glass crashing, his body was quick to react to the spill of the chemicals that were set before them for their lesson. “Fuck,” he breathed. In a blink of an eye, he was standing with his chair knocked to the floor. What should have been spilled on him was now splattered on the floor. He looked up to his partner with rage in his eyes at the accident. “Watch what your doing asshole.”
Oh God. What was wrong with him. Why couldn't he just sit still like a normal human being. Taking a deep breath, Minhyuk turned to look at the person who he thought he had spilled the liquids on, but instead he found them against the window breathless and once again irritated. Who could move with such quick speeds? Was that even possible? Of course "Hey. It was an accident. Give me a break." He exclaimed rolling his eyes while this happened. Seriously it was like everyone at this school only had three moods. Annoyed, cruel, or numb. "Boys! Minhyuk, and uh..." As the teacher scrolled down the attendance list and seating chart, the found the one next to the new kid. "Ian. Since both of you are so vocal, you can have the pleasure of volunteering cleaning up after class."
At this Minhyuk felt eyes bearing into his forehead, and the kid behind him he knew for sure hated him at this moment.
“Sure, I’ll give you a break, to one of your bones.” Ian began as he moved away from the window. He didn’t assume the guy saw him move with his speed. It was also another reason why he sat in the back since it meant there wouldn’t be eyes on him. At least once they were, he was already done moving.
Before he could make another move, the teacher was already speaking to them. Hearing what they had to do now, Ian only became more angry, because that meant he would feed at a later time. He just gritted his teeth to keep himself from actually biting the kids head off. He picked up his char that fell, a little too harshly, “I don’t want to hear it.” He tells him.
It had only been a week since he had moved here, and already he was sure that this kid had it out for him. It was unfortunate really, not many talked to him, and the ones that did were only girls interested in him, which was a feeling he could not return in the least. Of course there was that Sebastian guy, he was kind of cool to be around, but it was kind of lonely being in a new school with nobody that actually wanted to know you as a potential friend.
Of course right before he could get out his papers to actually take notes the teacher didn't even give him a chance to breathe. "Alright Minhyuk, you and your seat partner go get another set of supplies from storage." Not again. He didn't want to interact with this person any longer than he had to. "It's fine teach, I can go alone." Yet they seemed to imminent on teaching them both a lesson that it didn't seem to matter if he was doing his best, silently making amends or not. "No. You and Ian. Go. Now."
Ian was about to take a seat and go back to work when he heard the teacher address them once again. He lifted his head before groaning. He just wanted this to be over with. But the teacher had other plans. Even with Minhyuk saying he would get the supplies, the teacher thought otherwise. He straightened up, turning to glare at his partner. “Just stay out of my way,” Ian said to him under his breath as he walked past him, shoving his shoulder on the way.
Making his way to the storage, Ian was pretty sure some of the students were still watching him, but he didn’t care. If anything, he wanted them to know that he shouldn’t be messed with, especially if they were as clumsy as this idiot. He hated that about humans. Their lack of reflex and focus. But at the same time, it also made feeding on them easier.
As he was shoved past, he felt himself stumble a bit, before following in the footsteps of his classmate. For a moment, he stayed back, but he soon jogged to catch up a question simmering in his mind for too long. Of course he had already had kind of a day that was out of the ordinary, and this wasn't making him feel any better. So he merely scaled back and talked to himself. Running a hand through his jet black hair, he wondered if he understood that he did his best to make sure he could go on his own.
It was only a couple of bottles anyways. That being said, why were his panties in a bunch. "I already apologized, why are you so pissed at me? It was an honest mistake." He murmured, looking at the clean white soles of his black and white converse as he walked down halls doing his best to just keep away from the grumpy soul next to him. Seriously what was this guy's deal?
Ian stuffed his hands into the pocket of his pants and moved ahead. Without the boy insight at the moment, Ian was reminded of the burning thrist that he had. Damn it. I have to find blood today. His thoughts were interrupted when the sound of footsteps was near, and once again he was reminded of his so-called partner.
He made no intention of slowing down for him and wasn’t too pleased that he actually tried to catch up. He was surprised though when he heard words come out of Minhyuk. The guy actually had the guts to speak? He glanced at him in annoyance before looking back up ahead. Seconds passed without him saying anything, and then finally he said, “It was a dumb mistake that you could have easily avoided, and let’s just say today’s not a good day for me. So unless you don’t want your head intact to your body, shut the fuck up.” Little did he know that Ian actually meant it. In fact, he was actually just thinking of making him his next meal at this rate.
Okay, that was it he had prolonged this enough, he hadn't even been talking to the guy, Ian, was it? He was mumubling to himself because it was just a thing he did, he was clumsy, it was an accident and they happened all the time, so why was this guy acting too arrogant. So high and might and treating him like he was just some insignificant bug he could step on and squish. "Listen, Ian or whoever the fuck, I understand you may be having not the best day, but you are treating me like shit. And I'm not here for it. Okay? Now lets just get these supplies and get back." Scoffing he returned the favor of shoving past him, towards the supply room it didn't take long for him to feel a little bad.
That probably wasn't the wisest move, seeing as he had actually threatened him openly out in halls. It wasn't like Minhyuk couldn't defend himself, but he doubted that anyone liked to be insulted in such a way. Deciding to just let go of anything he said afterwards, he stopped at the door next to the teachers lounge, opening it up to the pantry sized closet filled with the scholastic objects placed inside. Hopefully Ian would realise how rude he was acting and the two would eventually be able to bury the hatchet.
Ian honestly didn’t suspect that the guy would have it in him to snap back. He had to give it to him though, it made him a little impressed, but it didn’t help with his situation, especially since Ian had actually threatened him. Did he not know that he wasn’t someone to mess with? Let alone shove. For someone that has only been here for a week, he really did have a death wish.
Ian only gave him until he reached the pantry with the school supplies in it. Once there, he grabbed the guy and turned him around faster than he could even blink. He gripped him by his shirt and lifted him before shoving him against the shelves, making it look as if he was lifting an empty box. The supplies rattled behind him, but Ian didn’t care. “Who the fuck do you think you are? Did you not just hear me?” Ian’s eyes glared into his. Being this close, and this angry, he really was tempted into sucking him dry, even if they were standing in the hallway.
(view spoiler)
As Minhyuk was reaching to turn around with the box in his hands, he felt his body being yanked as if it was nothing but a few pounds against the wall, his immediate reaction was to reach for the closet thing he could to flip the tables onto his opponent, but there was an overwhelming ammoung of strength coming from the teenage boy across from him. He had known it wasn't a genuis move, but his naive mind had sincerely believed that Ian would simply let it go.
Once again, he was wrong. Almost paralyzed with a strong sense of fear, he narrowed his eyes to asses what exactly was going on. Minhyuk had been trained in many forms of fighting, but this guy had reflexes faster than he had ever seen in his life, not to mention, his strength felt like an ant compared to a mountain. With the glare in Ian's eyes he felt in danger, as if he were prey to be fed on. Clearly insulting this guy wasn't the best idea, but he wasn't about to be walked all over like some push over. So, he defaulted to an option that wasn't exactly chickening out, and maybe it would make him angrier, but he realized that even if this guy did calm down he would still have an enemy, but if he weirded him out just enough, maybe. Just maybe would back off. "In the halls? Like this? Damn, I mean, that's a little innopriate for school don't you think? I mean, sure there is nobody out here right now, but if you wanted me so bad all you would have to do is ask." He smirked, internally cringing and curling up in his bed and falling asleep. That was unbearable to say to someone he had never even met before, who clearly had it out for him.
(view spoiler)Ian could hear the guy's heart beat rapidly against his rib cage as he became frightened. The sound of his blood quickly moving through his veins was audible to Ian, and he could see the panic rise within his eyes, and Ian couldn’t help but love it. He loved the fear he got from some people, especially since they didn’t even know what he was yet. But the best fear would be to witness the fear in his victim's eyes when they do find out what he is.
However, all that enjoyment he had left when he heard Minhyuk speak. His brows narrowed and he stared at him in confusion, wondering what it was he was rambling about at first. But then he understood him and snared in disgust that he tried to make a fool out of him. He gripped his shirt even tighter, pulling him slightly forward only to shove him back into the wall. “Fuck you.” He spat. It wasn’t that Ian wasn’t into guys, because he was. But because Minhyuk was trying to play smart. “I should just kill you right now.” He threatened, and little did he know he actually meant it. Feeling his thirst and anger get the best of him, his fangs slipped out. But he was quick to close his mouth. He couldn’t expose himself to his human, at least not in school. Angry that he couldn’t pound the shit out of him without getting himself in a difficult situation in the hallways, he just let go of the guy before turning around to grab what they needed.
Burying his pride, he got more into the role, doing his best to act aloof and as annoying as humanly possible in this moment. "Agressive huh? Exactly my type." He smirked, daring to be this way even with threats looming over his head. All he had to do was wait until he gave up, an authoritative figure came, or until he actually ended up dead. Like a game of Russian Roulette, he could only hope for the best. "Fuck me? Pfft, I mean, only if you want." This apparently earnes his head another wall slam, giving him an aching headache, and then he recieved anothet death threat. Lovely. Fortunately, Minhyuks annoying ass jokes saved his life, seeing as he grabbed the supplies and walked away. Now all he had to do was keep him weirded out enough to stay away, (because who would flirt in a life or death situation?) But not too upset that he actually ended up dead behind some sketchy dumpster.
Lifting and dusting off the boxes he had dropped, he waited to put a short ammount of distance in between the two before following behind back to class. As the door opened, he saw everyone studying carefully, and adding and mixing their ingredients as if it was no big deal. Of course, Min still had the problem of having to work together as partners, even if he would literally have to die for this grade, he could not fail in public school, especially after all the tutors his parents had given him. He was taking chemistry for fun, he had already taken this class before. So if he failed any of these classes, his parents would kill him.
Ian just gripped his supplies tighter and faced forward as he walked down the hall. With Minhyuk flirting and acting the way he did, he really wanted to beat some sense into him. But he had to think of himself and that meant giving up on the guy so he wouldn’t expose himself. He just bit the inside of his cheeks to keep his mouth shut, all the while feeling his fangs throb.
Once they returned to their class, and got a few weird looks from both the students and the teacher for taking so long, Ian made his way to the back where his seat was. He took a seat in his chair and set what he held on the table. Damn it. We still have to work together, Ian thought. But his fangs were still out and he couldn’t speak anytime soon. He stole a glance at his partner, hoping that maybe the guy would just know to not bother him anymore.
Puting distance inbetween the two of them not eager to actually engage in conversation, he simply sat down at her desk glancing at the instructions on the board. Thankfully, the first part didn't include much team work, and he would be able to do the majority of it without talking. Meaning less pissing off Ian, who surprisingly hadn't talked at all in the last few minutes, not that he was complaining.
It didn't take very long for him to finish the written assignment portion, once again these classes were taken more for the fun of it, not simply to actually get grades. He was actually more interested in looking out for things that were a bit curious, such as the quick reflexes that he had seen not only once, but twice today, the unreasonable strength that he had witnessed, the rumors of tails growing in the cafeteria, magic floating around in the halls. All of it was strange, but it was nothing he could prove. If he could do it once. Just once, he would be able to return to Korea satisfied, not without visiting Warwick every once in awhile of course. Taking a deep breath, he cringed remembering the flirtatious and kind of sexual remarks he had made in the hallway. Hoping to sneak a glance he found that Ian in turn was looking at him as well. He opened his mouth to say something, before closing it and turning to his assignment. He was going to apologize, but he hadn't been the one who had almost gave someone else a concusion. Still did he take it just a bit far? 180 degrees from wrong is just wrong in a different direction.

Ian glanced away when Minhyuk looked up to him, not wanting the guy to think he wanted to talk. He focused on the assignment instead. He was just finishing the writing section. Unlike his partner, Ian didn’t take the class for fun. He took it because he simply needed to. But after living for so long and repeating high school every decade, your kind of forced to remember what you're taught. He didn’t even need to perform the experiment to know what would happen. He already knew the reactions by heart, sadly.
Finally finishing up the writing part, Ian started to wonder if he could get away with just doing the work by himself. His fangs were still out and he was having a hard time making them retreat. He glanced up to see where the teacher was, and of course, the old man was walking around and making sure everyone was doing what they're supposed to. He huffed in annoyance as he leaned onto the table. He rested his left elbow on the table and covered his mouth and the holes of his nose as if there was a bad smell. But really, it was so he could talk without having his fangs exposed. “Are you ready?” He mumbled to his partner, seeming as if he didn’t can want to do any of this.
(view spoiler)
Fliping over his papers, he practically jumped at the sound of Ian's voice, remebering the harsh tones from not too ling ago. Furrowing his eyebrows, he hesitantly turned back towards him unsure if he was still irritated with him. Minhyuk wasn't exactly interested in the science behind this, but he couldn't help but smile as he looked up to hear the nasally voice of his partner. It wasn't to make fun of him, but rather a genuine smile, of course he realised they were not on what most would call, good terms. Clearing his throat he nodded before unboxing the supplies left on the tables.
There was simply silence and a very heavy weight of annoyance was dropped onto Minhyuk's shoulders. Why did he feel bad? He wasn't rhe one who did anything wrong! He had been threatened twice in the hallway, shoved against walls, and he only got out of it because he had simply hopes that maybe he had a threshold for how weird things could get. Not to mention the look in Ian's eyes of sheer pleasure while he did it, he looked like a sinister child, but now he seemed relatively calm, as if nothing had happened in the first place.
Ian was watching his partner after he spoke, seeing if the guy was going to say or do something. That’s what he expected at least, for him to agree and start working. What he didn’t expect was for him to smile. Is he serious? Ian narrowed his brows as he watched him, wondering what the hell it was that was making him smile. Maybe it was the fact that Ian was covering his mouth. But he didn’t see what was funny with that.
Instead, he just rolled his eyes in annoyance and started to read over the instructions. “Turn in the Bunsen burner,” he ordered Minhyuk. He then closed his mouth and lowered his hands. He knew he couldn’t cover his mouth for the whole period. That would seem weird. He needed to do his work and hopefully, by the time they were done, that class would be too, and he could leave school quickly to find blood. He couldn’t wait any longer. Pulling on his goggles, Ian started to step up the other stuff with Minhyuk but avoiding as many interactions with him.
It had been uncomfortable, annoying, and awkward working alongside of the person who had assulted him in the hallways. He didn't understand what the guy's deal was, but he just knew he didn't want anything else to deal with that involved Ian. Of course, they had gotten the assingment completed, and once the bell rang, everyone else had emptied out. Either to go to their extra-curriculars, dentention, home, or simply any other place that was not here. Meanwhile, he was here in a room with the person he wanted to be the farthest away from. Picking him trash from off the floors, he simply did his best to avoid the other guy in the classroom so not to cause a ruckus. Or, at least, another one. Using a couple of clorox wipes he took notice of how unreasonably messy that the students in this class could be. While some were pristine, others looked as if they did it on purpose. Minhyuk was tempted to just get up and walk away.
Of course he got the feeling if he tried to dump the work on Ian, he would surely regret it later. Man, this was aggrivating. This wasn't what he came here for, he was going to go and explore later tonight he needed to start preparing as soon as he got home. "let's see, i'm going to need..." mumbling off his list, he wasn't even paying attention as his body collided with anothers. At first he didn't saying anything simply walking past him too deep in thought, before perking up to give a quick "Sorry." And getting back to work. God. If he didn't make it out of here because of some stupid stains and a irriating teacher, he'd just curl up and go to sleep not even making dinner.
After the class ended, the chemistry teacher made sure they knew what they were supposed to be doing before leaving them alone. So here he was now, cleaning up the room like he was a fucken maid. Luckily by now his fangs had retreated and his thrist was calmed down. But he knew he still needed to feed tonight. That, or he could just follow Minhyuk out of the building and attack him once they were alone and away from school. In fact, that idea seemed pretty tempting to at the moment. It was a quicker than waiting until night fall, and he already didn’t like the guy, so it was a win win. As Ian wiped down one of the tables, he couldn’t help but watch Minhyuk for a moment as he was lost in his thought. He tried to imagine how his blood would taste, and the fantasy itself was enough to make him leap on the guy right at the moment.
But realization of how bad the idea was dawned on to him. He’s a new guy. I can’t dont that. It’ll be too suspicious, and they’ll lead it back to me since we fought to day. Disappointed, Ian had to turn down the idea for today. He couldn’t take the risk. After finishing up what he was doing, Ian was getting ready to go. If there was anything else that needed to be done, Minhyuk could do it. Just as he grabbed his books, he felt a body bump into him. He clenched his jaw and turned to look at Minhyuk, who barely acknowledged what he did. He really needed to drill a lesson into this guy. “Listen, bird brain. Today, you got lucky. Next time your clumsy ass bumps into me, your dead meat.” He glared at him. “In fact, don’t even bother talking to me, too.” He adds before turning around from him and leaving. He wanted to make sure he wouldn’t have to deal with this guy ever again unless it was him draining his blood
Being the guy he was, Lucas was obviously late to class. There was a transaction that had to be taken care of in the bathroom, the details being unnecessary to discuss. But the class he was late to was study hall, so it wasn’t like it really mattered. He wasn’t missing out on anything important, and if he was, that’s too bad, because he would be late for that too.
“Your late Mr. William,” the teacher commented as he walked in. “Do you have an excuse.” Lucas just chuckled at her and simply said with a shrug of his shoulder, “I was at the bathroom.” There was no lie in there, but it wouldn’t be for the reason she thought, and if it was, the teacher still counted the tardy against him. Lucas just ignored the disappointment in her eyes and faced the class to choose a seat, and as he was looking for one, he couldn’t help but recognize a familiar face. With a mischievous smirk, Lucas made his way to her. Lucky for him, the desk before her was empty, and so he sat backward in the chair to face her. “Cora, wasn’t it?” He asked.
((it’s perfectly fine. Size doesn’t matter with me))
Lucas watched as she lifted her head and peered at him. Of course, she didn’t seem to happy to see him, but he didn’t care. If anything, he would try to change it. “Actually, it’s charming douchebag.” He corrects her and gives her a wink. He made sure not to speak too loudly just so he would be able to talk to her without getting caught. He didn’t know when another chance like this would be given to him, and this girl was very interesting to him simply because she didn’t like him. Or she made it look like she didn’t like him. He was sure deep down in there she was totally crushing over him. All the girls did. “So how have you been?” He asked her.
Lucas actually just held her gaze as she glared at him, giving her his big charming smile the whole time. Hearing what she had to say, he couldn’t help but laugh. “Feisty. I like it. It suits you.” He tells her and tilts his head a bit as if to check her out. He moved his chair closer to her until he was able to rest his elbows on her desk so he could hold his head in his hands, this way he could be closer to her. “Well, my day has been alright. Kind of got hell from Mr. Steel about the English paper. But that doesn’t bother me.” He gave a half-hearted shrug as if it was nothing. “How are you doing without your books?” He grinned since they were still with him.
Lucas would be lying if he said he wasn’t enjoying this. The way she moved away from him, looked annoyed, tried to play it cool. It was all exciting to him, and to be honest, he hadn’t had anything exciting lately. So he couldn’t help but enjoy their little conversation even more . Even if she made it clear that she wanted nothing to do with him. The minute she ran into him in the hallway gave him permission to have everything to do with her. “Hmm. I don’t know. I kinda like it here.” He said as if a matter of fact. He didn’t move an inch and just kept grinning at her.
If it was possible for Lucas’s grin to grow, it just did. Hearing her ask that beautiful question was beyond exciting. It made his mind actually work for the first time in a while, trying to think up a perfect idea to give her if she wanted what she was asking for. Each idea that passed his mind only made him more and more excited. “That’s a very tempting question, y’know. I’m filled with options. Hhmmmm, let’s see.” Lucas removed his arms from her desk and held his chin with one hand, scratching at the slight stubble as he continued to think. “Ah, I got it.” A mischievous look crossed his eyes as he looked back to her. This girl seemed like she wanted nothing to do with him, so he was sure this idea was not going to make her happy. “You have to come with me to the New Years ball as a date.”
Her reaction was priceless, and he couldn’t help but softly chuckle. She really hated him, but he was going to change that. “It’s a date then, and I think it does mean I’m winning.” He winked at her before she turned away from him and left the classroom. Even though she wasn’t there, he couldn’t stop smiling to himself as he thought about her.
