Shortly after Zahra moves into her new apartment, she’s awakened in the middle of the night by noises at her door and witnesses someone leaving by car. Were you suspicious even through the end of the book that this event might be tied to the terrorists?

I was suspicious, it didn't make sense to me that something was hidden outside. That whole scene though did it's purpose of getting Sean there and got gen closer.

I thought she was just jumpy due to the heightened awareness about the security of the Team.

I was definitely suspicious as it seemed too coincidental. So, I kept this red herring in my head until the book ended🙃

It was just a means to put Zahra and Sean together.
