One Point Task

2.2 (Tessa's Task) We Bought A Zoo
Two Books
This month we're learning some fun facts about our Asian Elephants and Caribou (a.k.a. - reindeer)

1. Asian Elephants
Complete one of the following tasks.

a) Elephants are hypsodonts, meaning they have continually growing teeth.
Read a book with teeth showing on the cover (animal or human, smiling or snarling)

b) An elephant's trunk has 100,000 muscles!
Read a book with at least 100,000 ratings on Goodreads. Tell us how many.

c) Elephants are social animals, living in large family-based herds.
Read a book with 4 (or more) people on the cover. Post the cover.

2. Caribou (a.k.a. - reindeer)
Complete one of the following tasks.

a) In North America the animal is known as Caribou; in Europe and Asia it's called a reindeer. There are nine famous reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder and Blitzen .. and Rudolph.
Read a book with a 9 in the total page count. (If you listen to an audiobook, use the page count of the most popular paperback edition.)

b) The largest migrating herd is found in Russia; the 2nd largest is in Canada.
Read a book set in either Russia or Canada.

c) Males lose their antlers in late fall; females keep their antlers until they calve in spring. This makes the females dominant and gives them the highest order for foraging during winter months.
Read a book by a female author -AND- with a female main character. (Be sure to link to the author name, and tell us the name of the main character.)

Read 2 books that have been on your TBR pile for more than a year – 2017 or prior. Let us know when you put it on your pile.

2.4 (Amber's Task) I Love December
Read Two Books
This is my favorite month of the year.

1. My birthday is this month but is far enough away from Christmas that I still get to celebrate it.
Read a book where the MC celebrates something, holiday, birthday, wedding, etc.

2. I get so excited by all the festivities all month leading up to Christmas.
Read a book set at Christmas or where the first letter of each word in the title is in Christmas (3 word minimum).

Read Three Books

Henri Matisse, Anthony Hopkins, and John Denver were all born on the last day of the year. Read a book to celebrate each of their birthdays.

1. Henri Matisse – painter – 1869-1954
Read a book featuring painting in some way (tell us how) or where the first letter of each word of the title can be found in HENRI MATISSE (title must be at least three words)

2. Anthony Hopkins – Welsh actor – 1937+
Read a book that was made into a movie starring Hopkins, see filmography at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony... or where first and last initials of the author can be found in HOPKINS.

3. John Denver – singer/songwriter – 1943-1997
Denver loved and wrote about the mountains of Colorado. Read a book set in Colorado or with a mountain(s) on the cover (show cover)
