Dennis Meredith (dennismeredith) | 18 comments If a human died in a vat of pickle relish, would it float or sink?

message 2: by Martin (new)

Martin Wilsey | 55 comments Depends on the human and the vat of relish. Is the human fit? Thin? Super fat? Is the relish thick?

message 3: by Matthew (new)

Matthew Moss (matthewmoss) | 3 comments The human body has a density of about 985kg per cubic meter. Relish has a density of 1,014kg per cubic meter. As a reference, seawater has a density of 1,020kg per cubic meter. So, as long as the body doesn't fall into the vat or isn't forced under and is relatively gently laid on top, it should float.
