WoTaLong (Wheel of Time Readalong) discussion

I just finished Winter's Heart, and was delighted to find out I could read this one while I wait for Crossroads to come available at my library. Based on the story it tells (so far), it seems maybe this could've been read before WH, maybe even earlier.

What do you guys think is the optimum place in the lineup to read NS?

I think it can be read before winters heart. It was originally published in a shorter version in a collection around the time of path of daggers (99) then republished in a longer standalone book several later after crossroads (04).

I believe it could be read after book 6 without spoilers! I personally liked reading it after book 10 just because there were so many aes sedai that we had been introduced to in books 6-10. I didn't know about the shorter version published earlier! that's cool Scott!
