Sword & Sorcery: "An earthier sort of fantasy" discussion

For no good reason, I picked up a copy of Conan (PS3 game from 2007 or so). So far it's kind of playing like a second-rate God of War clone, but I'm having a pleasant time lopping off various limbs & heads & the like.

It is really sad that an iconic character like Conan doesn't have a really good video game on the vein of God of War, Darksiders, even Witcher I would dare say ,worthy of his history in literature.

This also seems like it'd be an ideal format for, say, an Elric game.

Exactly, in the past a company tried to release an Elric game for the pc (crpg like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale etc) but it never came out. If you are interested you can read more in a free ebook called "The CRPG Book Project" (it's fantastic. Amazing job). And now I'm starting to get out of topic :).
