Lynn | 16 comments This is my 3rd year joining this group. Six to ten books is doable for me. I like the crime/mystery books. Plan on reading more Ian Rankin, Stuart MacBride, finish up the A.D. Scott series, any new Peter May and start my second read in James Oswald series. I need to continue with Aline Templeton as I have only read the first book which I enjoyed.

Hello Lynn! So glad you headed over to this group! I love crime and mystery books - I read the first Rebus book last year so I think I'll join you reading more of Ian Rankin's work :)

I think 6-10 books is a good goal, good luck!

A Kind of Grief
The 6th book about a small Scottish town newspaper in the 1950's, The main character is Joanna Ross who in this book has wed the owner of the paper. There is always a mystery to solve. An excellent series.

This has been on my radar, glad it's got a good recommendation here behind it now!

PS: Have you read The Long Drop? I really loved it, but so creepy that it's based on a real serial killer. *shudders*

Conviction is my favorite read so far of Denise Mina. I have read the first two books in the Alex Morrow series and plan to read more. I could not get into The Long Drop and stopped reading it. Maybe if I tried it again now, it would be different.

I haven’t read the Alex Morrow series, will keep a look out for those. Definitely need to read Conviction :)
