Devon Book Club discussion

As we head to the end of another amazing year of books, I am going to post a number of reminders about things that Devon Book Club does/has done - partly as a refresher but also for our new members (and, to my delight, there are lots of you). In this post- Devon writers.

We are truly blessed in our county by the breadth of writing talent - I am sure I don't know half of the writers who live here yet but I am aware of over 200 and that doesn't include poets - I need to start a separate list for them.

Next up in my review of the year - Our Terrific Ten giveaways. A big thank you to all the authors (and their publishers) who generously donated copies of their books for our #giveaways. Always popular, I hope that this aspect of our network introduces readers to writers who are new to them as well as reuniting them with familiar friends.

This year we featured debut as well as experienced writers and a wide range of tastes - including romance, thriller, non-fiction, contemporary literary fiction, YA and more - but, what's genre between friends!

Rounding up my summary of 2018 I just wanted to thank you all for your continued support and encouragement. This is a very special network - there are few like it across the country and I am keen to see it grow further during 2019.
