A pleasure Hazel - love your work - oh, and flattery will get you everywhere :)

Next up in my review of the year - Our Terrific Ten giveaways. A big thank you to all the authors (and their publishers) who generously donated copies of their books for our #giveaways. Always popular, I hope that this aspect of our network introduces readers to writers who are new to them as well as reuniting them with familiar friends.
This year we featured debut as well as experienced writers and a wide range of tastes - including romance, thriller, non-fiction, contemporary literary fiction, YA and more - but, what's genre between friends!
Here is the list of books that were featured in 2018 - thanks to everyone who entered and to the reviews from those who won.
Owl Sense - Miriam Darlington Faber & Faber
The Last Taboo - Rosy Teale
Undressing Stone - Hazel Manuel Cinammon Press
Blackout - Kit Mallory
The Woolgrowers Companion - Joy Rhoades Vintage Digital
Under The Pipal Tree - Anjana Chowdhury Cinammon Press
Book Of Fire and City of Dust - Mich English HQ Digital
Christmas Spirit - Nicola May Nowell Publishing
Christmas At the Beach Hut - Veronica Henry Orion Publishing Group
NB Self-published unless otherwise stated
I hope that many more of you supported the writers in the best way - by buying a copy or borrowing the books from your local library - and then crucially leaving reviews here, on Amazon, on Goodreads and anywhere else that you have access to.
Compiling this list made me realise that there are no men among the giveaway list - all offers welcome guys!
Look out for more giveaways in 2019 - the first is imminent.

Happy New Year everyone - here's hoping that 2019 brings you everything that you wish for but, above all, health, happiness and more books!
Rounding up my summary of 2018 I just wanted to thank you all for your continued support and encouragement. This is a very special network - there are few like it across the country and I am keen to see it grow further during 2019.
There are something like 3500 of us now (from Devon and around the world):
985 here on Facebook
2,569 on Twitter @BookDevon and #devonbookhour every Monday at 8PM (restarting on 14/1/19)
417 on Goodreads (link below)
27 subscribers on our new YouTube Channel (link below)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC39S...
https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
What the network thrives on is your participation. I love your ideas and contributions so please keep the posts coming across all our platforms. Each of them is different so if you haven't yet explored the other platforms please do - warm welcome awaits you.
I'd like to thank Liznojan books for hosting us back in May, to the writers who have featured in interviews on our new youTube channel Hazel Manuel Jill Treseder Elizabeth Ducie and Joy Rhoades and to those who joined in with Woolf Week in October.
I shall be posting about lots of ideas for 2019 shortly but please do let me know about anything you would like to see happen this year.
Once again, Happy New Year and happy reading.

We are truly blessed in our county by the breadth of writing talent - I am sure I don't know half of the writers who live here yet but I am aware of over 200 and that doesn't include poets - I need to start a separate list for them.
You can find the full list over on our Goodreads page(where there are lots of other book discussions) but please tell me if you know of any others
