The Never-Ending Challenge - now heading into its 8th year!
This is a chance to get up to date in some series - or at least get as far as you can!
The rules remain the same:
Set yourself a target - you have two options:
Number of Series
or
Number of Books
The Rules
* You can join anytime
* Any genre is allowed.
* There has to be at least 2 books that you need to read to get up to date/finish the series (if you are going the series route).
* If you're getting up to the current release in a series, then it should be current as at 30th November (that way if it has a book coming out in December it's your call whether or not to include it).
* You can include the short stories/novellas between books if you wish.
* Audiobooks and re-reads are fine (as long as you read it properly - no skimming).
If you don't have all the books you need to get up to date (e.g you have 4 out of 5), then use the books you have - it's meant to be fun!

Note 8/23/19: I'm nominally over 50 at this point, but part of the requirements was to read at least 2 books in each of the series. So if you remove all of the ones where I've only read one from the series (so far), I'm still at 40.

Fandom Hearts isn't PNR or UF but it is seriously cute! Cathy Yardley gets a lot right with this series: positive female friendships, diversity, setting boundries, smart women doing what they love. ♥ Gotta love steamy romances about geek girls ♥ Check it out!

This year has been a nightmare for me reading wise. I lost all interest in reading early in the year, around the time that i got varifocals, add to that some mental health issues and i've crashed and burned. I've tried to get things going again with audiobooks, but i'm still struggling. So, i don't honestly know if i will run this again next year.
I'm sorry, Charlotte. Sounds like you've had/are having a rough year. No worries about any challenges. I hope you're feeling better soon and able to find your way back into books you enjoy.
I might dig out an old personal challenge I did, goth literature. See if that can jumpstart things. Nothings holding my interest.

You are more important than any book challenge.
Find something you love to do, even if it isn't reading *gasp*, and hopefully you'll find your way back to you! I think us readers always come back to it eventually, so don't stress :)
Yeah, definitely don't worry about the challenge. But, going back to something old - an old favorite book or series - might help with the slump.
Will we have a 2020 version? This challenge pushes me to finish some of those abandoned series on my TBR!

The Never-Ending Challenge - now heading into its 8th year!
This is a chance to get up to date in some series - or at least get as far as you can!
The rules remain the same:
Set yourself a target - you have two options:
Number of Series
or
Number of Books
The Rules
* You can join anytime
* Any genre is allowed.
* There has to be at least 2 books that you need to read to get up to date/finish the series (if you are going the series route).
* If you're getting up to the current release in a series, then it should be current as at 30th November (that way if it has a book coming out in December it's your call whether or not to include it).
* You can include the short stories/novellas between books if you wish.
* Audiobooks and re-reads are fine (as long as you read it properly - no skimming).
If you don't have all the books you need to get up to date (e.g you have 4 out of 5), then use the books you have - it's meant to be fun!
