Tammy | 395 comments Currently reading A Study in Death (Lady Darby Mystery #4) by Anna Lee Huber

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 95 comments Wrapped up One for the Money (Stephanie Plum, #1) by Janet Evanovich last night. My official last book of the year.

Starting up Two for the Dough (Stephanie Plum, #2) by Janet Evanovich ! It's funny I read One for the Money around January in 2012. I do that a lot with rereads. Like there's this time of year you need it. Like reading Harry Potter in the summer and Christmas.

Hopefully this time around I'll like Two For the Dough better. When I tried reading it before it bored me. Could have just been my book mood.

Sunseeker☀️ (sunseeker) I was recommended The Dom Who Loved Me (Masters and Mercenaries, #1) by Lexi Blake - which was surprisingly good. Am halfway through The Men with the Golden Cuffs (Masters and Mercenaries, #2) by Lexi Blake . I have Deal with the Devil (Forge Trilogy, #1) by Meghan March and Summoned to Thirteenth Grave (Charley Davidson, #13) by Darynda Jones on deck when I am done.

DemetraP | 58 comments I read a good alien romance the other day. Hero is definitely dangerous because he has claws and a tail. Also he's the leader of a warrior horde.

Captive Of The Horde King (Horde Kings Of Dakkar, #1) by Zoey Draven

A. Hall (tenover10) | 2 comments I just finished High Voltage and A Strange Hymn and loved them both(5 stars). Fever wrapped up nicely. Love Dani, love Ryo, and Moning can have me for the rest of my life. Loving the complexity and romance of the Bargainer, Thalassa is quickly becoming a fave.

Currently reading The Emperor of Evening Stars (The Bargainer, #2.5) by Laura Thalassa , the Bargainer series prequel. I dislike the break from the main series but I'm following the order the books go in. I am not opposed at all to learning more about Desmond Flynn. I'm hoping, he's one of those characters, like Barrons, where learning more about him doesn't destroy the allure of his mystery and personality.

Also at the same time, starting a new series, making the most of my KU trial, Priceless (Rylee Adamson #1) by Shannon Mayer . It is...intriguing, so far. It hasn't lost me from the quality of the writing and the main character definitely seems like someone I can enjoy long term(the FBI agent gets his own POV chapter; is he the love interest?).

But....it has the flaw of starting us right in the middle of everything. I don't know...there's something about the way it all is framed and flows that makes it feel like less of an introduction and more like the catch up summary in the beginning of books in a series already in full swing. I'm getting it, at least but the referrals and emotional beats make me feel like I'm missing something, if that makes sense.
