THIS. I thought for sure that you already read it, and the Farseer trilogy as well :O
Between those two, Witcher and Temeraire, you'll have a great reading year :D
(I haven't read the rest so I can't comment on them)

Well, to be honest, I just haven't the time to read everything. I have read the Alloy Era books in the Mistborn world and they are some of my favorites. Wax and Wayne, along with Hadrian and Royce, are my favorite buddy teams.
So, I purposely trimmed this years challenges to read things I believe I'll find more appealing. I saved what I believe would be better books in a series and I also would have the freedom to read what I'm in the mood for. It should be a very good year in reading for me.

Well done!
I read only one book by Janny Wurts (To Ride Hell's Chasm). I loved it to pieces, but it took me forever to read. I didn't have sufficient mastery of the English langage to be able to read it 'smoothly'. It was more than a year ago... I think I'll try another standalone of hers soon.
If anything, I'll be able to jauge if I improved :p

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll go with Sorcerer's Legacy then, and take a look at her short stories collection :)

There's also, three short stories in the Wars of Light and Shadow series. They can be purchased on her website. I'm not sure if they are anywhere else.

Aaron wrote: "Nice, I hope you enjoy the original series. If I am being honest I can not decide which I like better (probably leaning to the original just because it is complete) Looking forward to your thoughts."
To be honest, I am looking forward to completing the first one. Sanderson is on my list of favorite authors.

It's awesome. Geralt is a pretty cool dude.

You've written this before and it always surprises me.

lol! If British children could write half as well as people learning it as an additional language, our results would soar!
Ah, that's what you meant! x)
I think that people learning a langage may have a better grasp of the grammar rules than the natives, since they had to understand them rather than using them 'instinctively'.

We’re also battling text speak. In the last couple of years children have stopped capitalising i. They don’t punctuate, the use of ‘would of’ is becoming a norm, might of etc.

Urgh, I hate when people don't punctuate even a little bit :/

Oh, I forgot to mention I finished The Mad Apprentice and almost finished with The Palace of Glass. I am really enjoying this series. It's for kids but apparently adults can appreciate it too.
I don't know. It's really a shock! It's suppose to be 8°F (-13°C) tomorrow morning with a wind chill of -15°F (-26°C). That's hard after getting used to 80°F (27°C) the whole time we were there.

True confessions , I actually started Warhost of Vastmark in the middle of December. I knew I wouldn't finish it till 2019 so I waited to put it down. IMHO, Janny's books are written to read slow and savor them.

So, I'm going to do the cover thing but it might take me a while so I'll have to work on it when I can.
Finished The Time of Contempt. I was a little bit disappointed with this one. However, I'm still going to finish the series. Also, finished The Fall of the Readers. It was a great kid's fantasy series and I recommend it highly. Next on this challenge will be Baptism of Fire.
Thanks Bill. So far this year my fantasy selections have been excellent. I'm also really enjoying Empire of Sand.

I really love Janny. She is talented in so many ways. I don't know of very many authors that put thought into their dragons like she does. They are so believable, the different species she describes make them seem real.
