I wanted to like this because it had a really good premise but there was just something missing. I don't know if it was the lack of character development or inability to fully explain what was actually going on but it ended up letting me down. Not terrible, just not that great either.

To compare it to other books that I enjoyed much more I would recommend going with Relic or Into the Drowning Deep instead.
