I plan to read Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi, Fire & Heist by Sarah Beth Durst, and The Child by Fiona Barton this month, if anyone wants to read them with me!

I want to read whatever I own first so if you name a book that I own, I will buddy read it with you!

Also, even though I don’t own The Child, I do have it on my Goodreads TBR, so I would be interested to read it. I haven’t read The Widow though and The Child is a sequel.

I'm not sure if there will be any references to The Widow in The Child. It has the reporter from TW and it feels like it will be mostly companion novels. I get the sense almost like police procedurals where you can jump in almost anywhere.
