This could get our keyboards tickety-tacking away. It's a question I ask myself repeatedly. The author doesn't even try to get into why it's such a women's thing...

Once again, this article says that Mary Jane Kelly was lying prone. She was not - she was supine. Are they all just copying from one another without even checking the picture they're talking about?

message 9: by Fishface (last edited Jun 21, 2019 09:25PM) (new)

Fishface | 18801 comments They probably don't know what "prone" means. Remember when all those articles on the Turpin kids said they were "emaciated"? None of them were! And, yeah, checking the picture would be a GREAT deal of effort.

K.A. Krisko (kakrisko) | 1297 comments Yeah, I'm assuming they don't understand the word they're using. Still lazy, one of those weird things that chafes at me.

Interesting stuff. I love the dog on the video, how he shakes his rear end when he finds something ... lol I could donate my body to these folks, since I live in Australia, but I'm not sure my family would be too pleased with that choice.

And now audiobooks require careful checking before listening. I'd be creeped out if I knew I had just listened to something voiced by Kemper.

I have a feeling some super nice friendly news crew came out and talked her into showing them a little of the house. You notice they didn't add sound. She may have thought the tour was about something entirely different. "Mrs. Dahmer, was that your name. And how do you spell that? Did you realize you're living on the site of a stop on the Underground Railroad? Escaped slaves were hidden in your basement!"

Fishface | 18801 comments I was happy to see it. I always wondered whether she was ancient and frail or hale and hearty. She doesn't seem befuddled at all. So a leetle harder for young Jeffty to fool.

Of course you'd never look across the table at your handsome blonde grandson and ask yourself, "Who has that dang kid drugged and killed and fried up in a pan NOW?"

Gotta love that old AutoDistort. Do you type every letter individually on your phone, or swipe from letter to letter? I am incapable of swiping if I ever want to get the message completed. Never learned touch typing despite trying 5 different times in high school and college.

I didn't even know swiping from letter to letter was an option. I am a 2-finger typer from way back. Never learned to touch type, and even if I could, doing it on a phone screen sounds like a lost cause.

I'm a swiper, it actually works better for me, especially since I hate putting on my glasses to send a text or post something with my cell phone.

Of course if I'm on my computer, like I am now, I touch type. Fast.

The article you cited says the neighbor of the little girl, "Wayne", killed the girl "as part of a plea agreement"... Seems this article suffered from a missing comma or two. Either that, or the article opens up a whole new genre of true crimes, those committed by court order, or some such.

It's a spice, similar to nutmeg. My grandmother used it a lot.

If you can't find mace use nutmeg (sparingly). They're made from the same plant and taste similar.
