Reading Lolita in Tehran
question
My book list

I should preface this comment by saying that I really want to talk about reading in general, not this book in particular. Though I agree with the general reviews. I found the Bookseller of Kabul far more informative and interesting. That being said....
How can one remember all the books one has read, and owns? It is impossible for me. Aside from the fact that I have been reading for over 60 years, I re read favorites and own multiple copies; e books, paper backs, hard copies, audio books, and books in Hungarian, and Spanish. Yes, I am a self confessed book junky. I seldom give books away, lend only to those who will return them, borrow from friends, and give it back, sometimes very sadly. Updating my bookshelf could be the work of years. I suppose I could just make a list from my book shelf.
Some of them are well traveled, having moved across the ocean and back, twice, and my daughters use me as a library. They take and bring back books when they visit. I suppose someday my library can be the start of a second hand bookstore.
Owning, and reading is my addiction, I come by it honestly, my mothers family were and are the same, and my father was no laggard either. My husband often says that if we go bankrupt it will be because of the books and flowers, my other collection, but he has a few of his own!
Considering how much I have read I am amazed that I dared publish a book! I am my own worst critic.
