Looking for a specific book that is part of a series. I can’t remember much about it except it is a historical romance that someone suggested when I was looking for historical romances with evil vengeful women that wanted to steal the hero from the heroine. The first book in the series is the main book with the evil woman trying to steal the hero. In the second or third book in the series the evil woman reappears and steals the baby of the hero from the first book and takes the baby on a boat. The hero from first book and hero from current book of course rescues the child. I’m hoping I’m not mixing this up and the evil woman trying to steal the hero then stealing the heroes child didnt all happen in same book but I don’t think it does. I know this evil catty woman appears in several of the books in the series. In one of the next books in the series you see that the baby is either scared of its father (hero from first book) or just wont have anything to do with him because of what happened when it was kidnapped and taken to the boat and it hurts the hero from the first book. The books takes place I think around regency or Victorian England. I really wish I could remember more. It’s been killing me trying to remember these books. Of course each book has a different hero and heroine but the hero and heroine from the first book appears in almost all of them and the evil woman from first book appears in many of them in the series. The book they kidnap the baby is "The Devils Heiress" by Jo Beverly but this is a great series so you will want to at least read the first book in the series "An Arranged Marriage" first. It is the one that has the father of the baby that is kidnapped in it as the hero and the evil villaness in it. "The Devils Heiress" is more of a follow up of what happened to the evil villainess from the first book and you get to see her finally get her just rewards in it. All of the books in this series are great books and I think there are about 1 2 books in the series.
