Did anyone find this Book extremely bizarre and/or slightly scary?

Divine Collins I am sure the author meant for this book to be weird but this book was insanely weird. I found myself with a bad taste in my mouth and a sick feeling in my gut while reading these stories. Especially St. Ludmilla, Reverend Tad Tadd's Love story, Eight waded, and the very last one. In St. Ludmilla i thought that the main character was crazy. i understand that what Gabriel did to her was terrible but what she did was so so much worse! It made me hate her and I even started to dislike Gabriel after he sat down and ate lunch with her and forgave her. Reverend Tad and eight waded were just weird, Tad was more on the scary side. Even more so when we went farther into the future and he got more modifications. The things that were happening and the modifications people were getting once we got to the last story were absolutely insane. People putting antennae on their abnormally large heads, getting extra limbs, extra eyes, extra fingers, weird colored skin, flippers, and the weird woman who got mirrors all over her body. It was all just so weird and it was truly disturbing. If the author meant for it to be like that she definitely succeeded. Let me know your thoughts!

Gigi I definitely agree. The book was very disturbing and it left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I think it was meant to enlighten us to what the world could turn into but it just was too much. Very imaginative yes, but instead of being entertaining it was just bizarre. I honestly did not enjoy the book, it made me feel sad and morose.
