Unlike the wolves, whom love to create new and powerful names for their children, the sabers prefer to re-use the names of past pride members.
There's no specific way to "make-up" these names, but try to avoid using any direct translation of languages. You can maybe sneak in a word "Nyokama" for example has "Nyoka" in it, which means "snake" in swahili.
The Dire Wolves in INSTINCT use syllables to signify age and rank in names. This allows for an unspoken "title" among the pack members and makes name changes more impactful.
1.)
Pups receive a 1 to 2 syllable name upon birth. These names usually sound like "Nevoo" or "Ka" They usually sound like childish nicknames.
2.)
Once trainees are decided to be ready to be considered a mature pack member, a syllable is added. This signifies their moving on from puphood and their role as an official pack member.
3.)
Most wolves keep their 2-3 syllable name for the rest of their lives, but if it were to be that they performed a considerable feat, it is by the decision of the alpha to add another syllable for their accomplishments.
4.)
Especially in the promoting to special high tier ranks in the pack, another syllable is added.
