Rules and Information• Each participant will be assigned to a team of 5-6 members.
• Each book you read will count for points that your team will receive upon completion of the book.
• You can read as many books as you like to help your team.
• A team chat will be set up to discuss amongst other team members.
• The duration is for 8 weeks, starting February 1st to March 31st. You must be willing to read at least one book per week.
• Books must have at least 100 pages.
• Children's books, manga, cooking books and comics will not be counted.
• One reread per member is allowed.
• DNF books can be counted for points and pages as long as you have read at least 100 pages.
Winners
Winning teams will be selected based on:
• Most points
• Most books read
• Most pages read
Mini-Challenges
There will be three mini-challenges:

Book Pool
A pool of books is made, and five books will be selected at random by the moderator and assigned to the team to read. Read this for more information.
Spell-the-Word
Two words will be assigned to each team, and each letter of the word must be read by reading books that have titles starting with the same letter.
Points System
100-150 pages - 25 points
151-200 pages - 50 points
201-300 pages - 75 points
301-400 pages - 100 points
401-500 pages - 150 points
501-600 pages - 175 points
601-700 pages - 200 points
701-800 pages - 250 points
801-900 pages - 300 points
900+ pages - 350 points
Participate in the BOTM - 30 points
Do a Buddy Read - 30 points

Oh my goodness!!!! I am so sorry everyone! What a lousy team member I am! I am so sorry for not being more active I have been very busy with school (which is not an excuse but anyhow) I hope we can become good friends!
If one of you would like to promote yourself as team captain I totally understand and will be happy with any decision!
Hi Ruby, School is definitely more important, I'm just glad to see you now.
As far as team captain goes, I generally check Goodreads several times a day because I am completely addicted to the challenges that I can't seem to stop doing.
That being said the captain job is still yours if you still want to do it. I set up some posts in or points thread to keep track of Free Reading and Mini Challenge points. I wasn't really sure of the correct way to do that so I just checked other threads and then did it like those with a few changes.
I also wasn't exactly sure where we were supposed to post our completion post (here or there) so we pretty much just winged it since the other teams were doing it in different ways.
***Now I feel like I'm babbling***
Anywho, If you want you can go to our point thread (there is a link in message 7) and make your own post, then I will go in and delete the ones I made.
All that being said I don't mind continuing to keep track of things, but only if you truly are okay with it.
***That last still didn't come out the way I wanted after changing the wording to try to convey what I was trying to say better, smh***

I asked a question about the time frame for one at time vs. simultaneously.
My Question:If we do them simultaneously will we only get six weeks all together or do we get more time if we the them individually?
Just in case my question doesn't make sense:
6 wks per game if individual or 6 wks total if together?
Answer from Hallie:
6 weeks total irrespective of whether you do them individually or together.
With that being the case I think we should do them simultaneously.
What do you guys think?
