Alright guys I have my top 3 beast moments of Kurt Vonnegut’s Cats Cradle!!! MICHAEL DONT LOOK UNTIL YOU FINISHED!!!!
3. My number 3 beast moment has to be when the narrator gets in the elevator with the small African American elevator man. I just pictured a guy saying YES. Yes! And it made me laugh
2. My number 2 beast moment was toward the very end of the book. It was when the narrator begins to cry in his car right before he saw Bokomon. As I was reading it I was expecting to read that the narrator died because his tears reacted with ice-nine, which would have been epic!!!!
1. My top beast moment of this book would have to be Newts message to the narrator. This happened early in the book and I thought it was VERY DEEP. I really like how his older brother was making bugs fight in a jar while his dad was going to work everyday to make a weapon of mass destruction. PRETTY EPIIIC!!!

0. when bokononism just turned out to be having a foot fetish lol (jk)
1. really connected w the scene at the graveyard when the cab driver (i think) really wanted to buy that wooden angel but the guy wouldnt sell it i just thought that was so sad and weird and THEN the narrator turned out to be a descendant of the person it was originally made for !!!!!! :00000
2. when the narrator first got to the hotel ... that was good.... i thought the hotel owner was funny and the banter between him and the narrator was good... also the description of the hotel was so odd and mundane it was just the right amt of offputting
3. whenever newt said "see the cat? see the cradle?"

1. the opening fingerpicked guitar riff
2. the first chorus when he goes “When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when"
But we'll get together then
You know we'll have a good time then
3. the last verse when the son is all grown up and now he doesn’t have time for his dad
it really says a lot about our society in my opinion because it’s like this dad doesn’t have time for his kid and is borderline neglectful then his son grows up just like his dad
it speaks volumes to the futility of life and trying to escape the vicious cycle only to end up right where you hoped to avoid
i give this song two thumbs UP

1. when they are discussing how ice-nine would hypothetically work and you realize how dangerous such a thing could be and then the chapter ends saying that it actually exists... mfw 🤭
2. newt BTFOing theists saying do you see the cat do you see the cradle ? or something like that idk i don’t have the book on me rn
3. when mona freezes herself at the end of the book
truly ebin m’lady... you ma’am win the internet today !
