Unwind-Neal Shusterman review by Adam McCluskey Three kids find each other trying to escape the police from killing them. Conner is fighting his parents and police from unwinding him on the highway and he takes this kid out of the car lev. While fighting this bus crashes killing the bus driver and a girl running fast away and lev and Conner run after her. To stop what she is doing to find out that all of them are going to be unwounded and they form a pact that they will not break. But lev is wanting to get unwounded since he believes its his purpose in life to die and give away his holy body. But the time lev finds a chance he calls the police to tell them he is being kidnapped but realizes as he calls his priest he knows he did the wrong thing and tries to apologize but Conner and Risa run away to survive.
It is cool to see the way Conner, Risa, and Lev change threw the story and how they go into this survival instinct to just save everyone around them. In doing that they find enemies along the way that change them, and they got to learn to fight against what they want to say to them. That’s the coolest part about it is when they learn to love and forget and accept things that were not supposed to happen that way. That’s why I think this book is amazing and is one of the recommended on my list to see what people do when their backs are against the wall and see the outcome of it. Like how Conner fights a police officer that doesn’t seem like most people would do it but Conner had to do what he had to do so he wouldn’t be unwounded.
The world this book takes place in must be a terrible place to live since children have to be "killed" to give up their "holy bodies". Sounds like a pretty interesting book to read.
