I guess this comes under the category that you can't please everyone. No such thing as a sure thing when you read a novel and think that everyone will love it. One book I really enjoyed was Trust Your Eyes by Linwood Barclay. Other people didn't like the book and even some fans who read his other books thought this was his weakest book. I still liked that one the best.

Simon | 8 comments This is not a thriller but Tuesday with Morrie by Mitch Albom really failed to meet my expectation

Jonetta (ejaygirl) For me it was Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner.

Gary Van Cott | 63 comments I am not sure that this book could be considered popular but I was disappointed in Deborah Crombie's book The Sound of Broken Glass which appeared in late 2013. As her series developed the setting became an important character in the books. I didn't think that the Crystal Palace area of London was particularly interesting or measure up to many of her earlier efforts.

Her next book (To Dwell in Darkness) which is set in (or around?) St. Pancras Station is due out in about a month and I hope it is better.

I'm still on her first book but I'll keep this in mind. Thanks.
