Not too much is going on in Ch. 1-11, however the writing style is so beautiful and very lyrical. I'm taking my time to read this because it doesn't seem like a book you rush, but one you savor instead.

- [ ] This was such an interesting start, and this is a key point in the story! You'll find out later ;)
Ch 1: mysteries of weep
- [ ] Wow, Lazlo's dreams seems so vivid but also how interesting to know that he knew the city's name a moment ago and then it was taken from him
- [ ] But also to everyone else who tried to remember it or read somewhere, they knew it was erased and written again as Weep. I'm exciting to learn more about this city
Ch 2: the Dream chooses the Dreamer
- [ ] This is probably my favourite chapter of the book. It is full of references to books and how great being a bookworm is. I think Lazio is the biggest bookworm at the moment! I mean getting his nose broken by a large book of fairytales?! That is a definitely a story worth telling!
- [ ] But I enjoy his excitement and his passion to learn about this Unseen city. But I do wonder if he is the only one who feels a great longing sadness whenever he says Weep, or do the other people feel that too?
Chapter 3: the complete works of Lazio Strange
- [ ] Such an interesting name for the alchemist, Thyon Nero. Nero who was probably one of the most hated and feared emperor in the Roman Empire. Many foreshadowing something ?
- [ ] There also seems a repeat of stating Lazlo's skin colour when he was a baby. Grey skin, I wonder why it was grey and why he was such an odd baby
- [ ] Hmmm it seems someone else is now interested in Weep but why exactly ? What could an alchemist know from it ?
Ch 4: the bastard god of fortune
- [ ] While Nero seems like a spoilt rich kid with gold hair, I do think it's very sad and barbaric of his father to whip him because he isn't making good out of metal. No man should have to be forced to do something that no one has ever done.
- [ ] And now that Lazlo has witnessed this, it's no wonder he doesn't think so highly of Nero since he saw him at his most vulnerable
Ch 5: miracles for breakfast
- [ ] Ah Lazlo why are you so innocent and kind! Why did you have to help Nero when he thinks nothing of you!
- [ ] I bet Nero won't even acknowledge him at all after helping him make gold
Ch 6: paper, ink and years
- [ ] I swear Nero is so cruel, after the way Lazlo helped him, now he repays him by taking away everything Lazlo has ever worked for

Ch 4: haha the writing is okay, it just pretty intense at times and I don't like it much
Ch 5: I know I still can't believe Nero did that! It was so selfish and cruel of him to take it away from Lazlo and claim it his own.
Ch 6: it is pretty awful for Nero to do that, after all Lazlo was only trying to help him out! But we will see what happens with these two. At least Lazlo kept his word after 4 years of saying anything about it. But why does Nero wAnt his works now after 4 years?

It was indeed wicked how the name just disappeared. It must have felt so bad, and so very disorienting and confusing. I wanna know why the city if 'Weep'. Why not any other name. And does it mean that no one knows about the city of Weep either?
Ch 2: the Dream chooses the Dreamer
No doubt, he is an awesome bookworm! And I guess other people might have felt it too, but maybe they convinced themselves otherwise.

Wow, Kare, I did not even know that! Thank you! Nero.
As for the skin, we were told he was sick, weren't we? You cannot mean he's from there?
Ch 4: the bastard god of fortune
Agreed. It was harsh hitting him and it would've have done any good anyway. His father could have just told him about the war and that would've kept him more focused. But let's admit, they wanted gold and who knows what the selfish Queen could've done to them if she didn't get it. Yes, I didn't like the writing in the beginning, and now I'm good with it, I hope you get used to it pretty soon too :)

I guess Nero wants another dream. And he stole it. I wish Lazlo hadn't kept that promise.

- [ ] Oooh something is happening I hope it's something good for Lazlo. But I agree that magic is in him, I don't think it's a coincidence that he's the only one who saw that eagle and watch it disappear
Ch 8:
- [ ] Well this has made many more interesting points. Who would have thought soldiers from the city actually traveled? But why did they wait so long! Years people have wanted to know of them and yet they come now?
- [ ] I still despise Nero, I can't believe he's basically lied to the warriors and now he stands there as if he was the one who researched about them for 7 years!
Ch 9: a rare opportunity
- [ ] Ahhh Lazlo this is your chance!
- [ ] But i can feel heaps of tension too
Ch 10: no story yet told
- [ ] Ah I'm so proud of Lazlo! I'm glad he didn't just let Nero walk all over him like that, he is a completely jerk, after all Lazlo has helped him accomplished
- [ ] I'm happy that Lazlo will finally get to live his dreams!
Ch 11: twelfth moon
- [ ] Such a beautiful first part! Loved it and I crave to know more of these adventurous travels
- [ ] And to be honest, I'm surprised that Nero hasn't caused any issues while on the road

Ch 1, yeah I'm really confused about the whole name vanishing! Hopefully it's explains soon
Ch 3, haha yeah small fact for you! I don't know, I just don't remember reading that he had grey skin. So i thought it was significant but probs not, he probably was just sick from almost dying as a baby
Ch 4, hahah I hope I do get use to it soon. Although I do love it at times
Yeah Nero's father was so cruel! And yeah the queen sounds really selfish

Wow, okay, I am not sure if it were something special that he saw the bird. Maybe it was just a coincidence. But maybe not. I'm so so proud of Lazlo too! It was his last chance and he ddin't waste it. The risk (of dying and losing his job) was so big. Nero and other selected will be coming 4 months later and they were supposed to enter together I guess. I'm sure Nero will appear more again.
