(view spoiler)[So Minya did trust Sarai after all. I hate Minya but I get her so much and that’s upsetting. She is right in many ways. They’d die without Minya. This was little punishment than I imagined. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 41:
(view spoiler)[Reading Lazlo’s part before the dream was sweet. Real sweet. How nervous he was, lol. I really want Eril-Fane and Azareen to be together too. It hurts. The dream and everything was so dam lovely that I couldn’t stop smiling. I’m so glad that Sarai made Azareen’s dream easier. Eril-Fane staring up at the citadel really hit me. I think he’s glad. He is mortified but glad. Will it count that Sarai saved them? I was so happy with this chapter an yet I feel like crying for these preciouss characters. (hide spoiler)]

Eril-Fane and Sarai are so similar. I was so worried that Lazlo will lose his admiration for his hero. I really want Sarai to interact with her father too. Why only Lazlo can see her? Chapter 48:
(view spoiler)[ He felt set on fire. He had to convince himself that liberating a silk sleigh and flying forthwith to the citadel was not a viable option. That would be like the prince charging up to the maiden’s tower, so mad with desire that he forgets his sword and is slain by the dragon before even getting near her.

It’s kinda strange to see Lazlo experiencing so much. I love it. Personal stakes. Nice.

“What will I do?”
It was a noble question, and if destiny had seen fit to reveal its staggering answer to him then, he would never have believed it.

What does this mean? Tell me Lazlo will be our hero. I really didn’t trust Lazlo to keep it a secret. I am glad he told Eril-Fane though. It does suck that we cannot trust anyone because of the hatred. Yes, what happened to the rest of the children? Were they sent to where the so-called gods actually came from 200 years ago? Could Wraith be one of those or is she Seraphim? Lol, I don’t even know if we’ll get to see any Seraphim. It’s also possible that those gods sacrificed the children. Could some children be human too? Or maybe partly human? As for the truce, Minya is the biggest problem! She might agree though; to let Eril-Fane come only to kill him. Sometimes, I fear Minya will think of killing Sarai and controlling her in death. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 49:
(view spoiler)[Ughhh, what were last night’s results, you idiot?!? Did it wok because of Strange’s spirit? Will he find out that Strange is different. Has Sarai tried to sneak into another god’s/godspawn’s dream? Could Lazlo be one? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 67:
(view spoiler)[I hate Minya. I wanna know if she was alert only to capture Sarai’s soul for slavery or because she was family? She already feels like she won’t be in control of others. I don’t know why but I do feel for Minya too. I hate her so much and yet, I don’t. She sacrificed so much of her for the four babies and now she’s worried that they’d say they don’t like her. I’d admit that I didn’t think Lazlo would ask for Sarai’s soul to be caught, but makes sense. Minya could use that against him. Oh Lazlo, please don’t be weak! Damn! I doubt Minya would let Sarai go. If she does, then she’ll have nothing against Lazlo. Figure it out, Lazlo! Please! I cannot wait for the next book! (hide spoiler)]

Ch 40: mercy
- [ ] It’s actually quite scary to see Minya be so angry and furious at Sarai. I’m worried what she has planned for her if she is trapped
- [ ] But I’m curious to know what Lazlo will think of her now

Ch 41: witchlight
- [ ] I really like how this chapter was written. I felt like I was in the dream with them, feeling that sense of unease but also some sense of quietness too
- [ ] Lazlo had no reaction to her being a godspawn, which is understandable I guess.
- [ ] But I found it real cute how he basically asked her to a date.
- [ ] I can’t wait to read more about Eril fane, what’s he going to do?

Ch 42: god or monster, monster or god
- [ ] Oh gosh I love these two, especially Lazlo and his stories! They’re just so exciting and lively and suspenseful!
- [ ] I wonder what they both will turn into ?

Ch 43:
- [ ] Oh my gosh I like got tears right there! Ahh why is Lazlo so pure and innocent and so good!
- [ ] Sarai is so brave for telling Lazlo what she is and what she does, for explaining her origins and how she was basically unloved by her parents
- [ ] Now Lazlo will appreciate her more now and I think they are beginning to build on trust and maybe love ?

Ch 44: an extraordinary suggestion
- [ ] It’s beautiful to see them both escape reality and just dream of being together and being safe from everyone else
- [ ] While I fear for both of them, because of Minya and Eril fane and how both of them will see it as betrayal, I’m so happy they get a certain sense of peace with each other
- [ ] I hope this sleeping in Lazlo dream helps Sarai control or lessen her own nightmares, I reckon it will help

Ch 45: strange ozoth
- [ ] Omg that last line!
- [ ] Could it work?!

Ch 46: just a Dream
- [ ] Oh how happy I am that she is finally able to sleep! I hope she doesn’t have nightmares

Ch 47: the terrors
- [ ] Omg that nightmare was terrible! I can’t believe her fear is Skathis!

Ch 48: no place in the world
- [ ] Oh wow Lazlo has guts to have asked about the Carnage to Eril fane. But Sarai needs to tell them that Minya will kill them!
- [ ] Oh I never thought about the other thousands of babies that would have been born since the gods had taken humans away for so long. Could the other godspawns been made gods somehow ? What were they trying to achieve by making babies with humans? Couldn’t they have babies with other goddesses?
- [ ] I guess it was to control and enslave the humans, to make sure they fear them

Ch 49: veil of reverie
- [ ] Ah that was a short chapter? I don’t get the point though? Just to say that his experiment might be working with Lazlo’s spirit?

Ch 50: the whole day to get through

Ch 40: yeah I agree that her punishment was quite small, maybe she did have some love for Sarai but yeah they would have all died without Minya

Ch 41: I agree with you, this chapter was really sweet. I was very impressed too about Sarai making Azareen’s dreams better. So she’s not just the making of nightmares haha
I think Eril fane feels glad too, because now it won’t haunt him that he killed his own daughter. Maybe he did kill 30 other babies but at least he is clean from killing his own daughter

Ch 43: yeah this was very different to become the opposite. Yes knowing about what happened during the carnage is a relief since we understand Eril fane more

Ch 45: yes! I don’t want Nero to take the credit no more! And yes I agree that in a way Nero is jealous of Lazlo, because of what he knows and how smart he is

Ch 48: that was a funny quote for Lazlo to think of !
Oh wow yeah I didn’t pick up that quote! Basically foreshadowing that Lazlo would be our hero in the end.
Hmm maybe the gods did sacrificing them, or they could have sent them away too like Lazlo, since he changed from gray to brown skin when he was baby. Perhaps there are so many other godspawns everywhere!

Ch 66:

Ch 55: yeah it’s interesting to read about Nero wanting to escape his life. He has the ability to make gold and yet he’s not living a grand life. Is all this worth being a legend ?

Ch 57: hahaha I’m telling you, you are so observant and you predict things so well! I remember the first time I read this I had no idea about many things !

Ch 58: I kinda wish her plum did hit someone

Ch 60: There was an acid edge to her voice. Minya, being Skathis’s daughter, had always had a festering bitterness at the core of her, that she hadn’t inherited his power—the one power that could have set them free. It was the rarest of gifts, and Korako had monitored the babies closely for any sign of it. In all of Great Ellen’s years in the nursery it had manifested only once, and Korako had taken the baby away on the spot.

Maybe Korako was saving Lazlo from the gods and from himself. Who knows what would of happened if Minya did save Lazlo for being a gray baby

Ch 63: hmm yeah Ari Eril could have an important role. Perhaps he might resis her control in the sequel?

Ch 64: ah man such emotions ! Yes his father was Skathis! Which means his half sister is Minya!

Lazlo is so good it hurts. Even giving Thyon the spirit. I have this feeling that Thyon will somehow change sides in the future. I hope so. Can't say the same about Minya. As for Sarai, yes that was so brave to tell him the things even she hates about herself. I think Lazlo is the one who deserved to know if anyone.

I think this is a big twisted secret lol. I wonder the same. Do you remember the part where Isagol had the baby and she thought that she's done her duty and the baby is no longer her concern???? I don't remember the chapter but she said that and that's why she was annoyed when Eril-Fane asked about his child. I think children were a purpose. Let's see though.

Yes, I'd love to know that too! It was strange. I initially thought they were talking about Skathis. But if that's Lazlo then maybe Skathis ordered him away?

That's what I'm thinking :) It could be that he wanted to be the only one who could affect Mesarthium. But I'm curious about the other children too. The thousands that are missing.
