Let's discuss!

deana everett | 124 comments I feel like Theo’s assessment of Barbie is accurate—she has nothing helpful to offer. I’ll probably be wrong.

Alicia is definitely angry and Elif pushes her buttons.

Theo is getting more and more messages that he should back off, that he’s in too deep, but I don’t think he can stop.

Now we know where the diary is but how is it possible that this is THE diary? How would she have been allowed to keep it? Why wouldn’t it have been confiscated? Regardless, I can’t wait for him to read it.

I'm wondering the same thing about the diary. How was it not used as evidence and how did she manage to hang on to it through being arrested, the trial, and now The Grove?

But I agree, I can't wait for him to read it.

Krystal (krystalhobgood) Theo keeps focusing on who Alicia's doctor might have been, and everyone he questions has the same sort of reply......they all agree she saw a doctor, but nobody can remember who it was. Wouldn't this have been information pertinent to her arrest and trial? Same as the diary, and what you both have mentioned....if this is the same diary we're reading about here, it surely, surely, would have made its way into the trial.

I hope these are pieces of a puzzle that will soon be revealed to us, and not just sloppy writing on the author's behalf. I can't imagine that's the case, but.....when you read a lot of books, you see it all! LOL!

At any rate, I can't put this book down, so that says something!

Deborah (debh56) | 63 comments I’d like to know if Jean-Felix was the man behind the tree. I think Alicia gave the journal to Theo because she’s starting to trust him and abruptly stopping therapy is a bad idea. I’m anxious to see how Theo figures out how to continue to help her.

I’ve seen too many real-life situations where the powers that be give up on people because they think they’re too ill. I think Theo will stick it out.
