Falling has its many negative connotations. Falling in love can be a foolish attempt to happiness. Falling from great heights can be both humbling and gut-wrenching. Falling off your rocker, well, may be a crazy man's escape from reality.
Yet, I don't want to portray my act in such a light.
As the wind blows strongly against my descending body, And I feel the trickling rain as the cold latch to my lungs, I want the world to know that falling isn't about failing at all.
It's a temporary set-back. A ripple in an otherwise peaceful existence. For falling in love is the pride and joy of souls tying an everlasting bond. Falling from great heights is an opportunity to build to higher ground with greater knowledge. Falling off your rocker, well, still is a crazy man's escape from reality But it's a path that many great minds will take to follow a life-altering dream.
And although I'm awaiting the crash below, life has only begun. Underneath my descent stands a lake that spans to the east and west With it, I have two choices. Drown in my own failures of the past Or swim past the hurt, pain, and grief to better ground.
Even when I fall again, these choices will always remain. Until the end of days. Until the end of time. So, downtrodden, fall gracefully and swim ashore. You have so much to live for.
