What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

There are only very little parts i remember but here goes
-there is a bit where the male is explains to the female that they can travel through different worlds through these lines/strings that have power but they can get stuck
-the main character has a sister who is beginning to tell the future
For example: in the book the girls sister brings the girl a hairbrush, the girl was about to ask for the hairbrush but her sister already brought it thinking she asked already but she told the future completely clueless of what she had done

Maybe it's Insight by Jamie Magee? It paranormal/romance, and the reviews mention strings that let you travel between worlds.
