Khalia feels guilt over her handling of Rob Crossley’s application for benefits. What could she have done differently, if anything? Do you feel she has a basis for shouldering responsibility for what happened?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 849 comments She made a judgment call. Her job is finding the vets who would most benefit from the foundations help. She felt Rob wasn't a fit for their program. Could she have done anything differently? If she had accepted him, he still would have been a ticking time bomb that would have eventually go off on someone else. I suspect Rob had mental problems pre military. Khalia could have referred him back to VA, but she had no way of knowing how deep his problems were.

I can’t say that any better. Those were my feelings, too. This guy has major issues.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 101 comments Anita, I agree with all your comments. Even though she blamed herself, it wasn't warranted. He was a ticking time bomb.

Laura I’m not sure this was flushed out well. He was referred back to the VA but how about an interview or followup that he did the referral. A personal reach out. To him he was rejected and that set him over the edge.

Good point. Taking that next step, though was quite a leap.
