What Should I Read Next?

Unsheltered
The Three-Body Problem
The Feather Thief: Beauty, Obsession, and the Natural History Heist of the Century
Next Year in Havana
I am currently reading The Silence of the Girls and Little Women, and listening to On the Come Up. In case that helps with recommendations.

I haven't read any of these yet but I vote for Next Year in Havana because that's the one I most want to read from your list! I have heard mixed reviews on Unsheltered so that one has slid down my TBR.

Well that is a fun list I a few added to my TBR.
I have not read any of them but think The Feather Thief: Beauty, Obsession, and the Natural History Heist of the Century sounded most interesting.

I vote for [book:Next Year in Havana. I finished it last week and enjoyed it.
I'm currently reading On the Come Up, and I need help picking my next pick.
For some reason, I'm on a YA kick from the library, so my options are:
One of Us Is Lying
Five Feet Apart
What If It's Us

Those look good, Emily. If I were still a YA librarian, I'd choose
One of Us Is Lying. It'd be fun to booktalk to teenagers.

Emily, I wish I could help but I have not read any of those.

Emily, YA is not my cup of cake, but I like Five Feet Apart cover ;)
Emily, I felt a little 'meh' about One of Us is Lying despite the positive reviews. And the "meet-cute" in the description for What if It's Us is a little much for me :P So my vote is for Five Feet Apart.
Milena, I've heard great things about Next Year in Havana so my vote is for that one.

As for my own choices, I currently have these checked out at the library:
There There by Tommy Orange
The Witch Elm by Tana French
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
Any recommendations?

Laura, I have all of those on my TBR, but I'm most excited about There There, so I say go with that one! (I'm saving it for the indigenous prompt... curse reading in order!)

Wow, I liked all of those a lot. I will also say There There. It's the shortest by far and will leave you time to read the other books.

I don't know about the other two, but There There is excellent!

There, There sounds like a good bet. I hope to fit it in somewhere this year.

Well the votes were pretty convincing so I started There There. I've only read the prologue but it's good so far :)
Emily, did you know that Five Feet Apart is going to be a movie? I saw a Facebook ad this morning. It's very strange to see Jughead in a different role since I watch him so much on Riverdale

Yes! That's part of the reason I want to read it -- my book-to-movie friend is forcing me to read it before we go watch it in theaters. We see every movie adaptation when it comes out haha!

The Song of Achilles
Acorna's Quest
A Curse So Dark and Lonely
The Winter Witch
Which do you think I should read first?

Which one should I read?

Lab Girl, it's really interesting.

@Lizzy- I agree with Lab girl
Here are mine:
I just started There There but I also picked up The Chalk Man and The Mars Room from the library ( STILL waiting on my hold for My Sister, the Serial Killer- I think they forgot about me??)
What order should I read in? I must be held accountable LOL...they're due back on the 25th.

I say continue with There There, unless it's not really grabbing you. I haven't read the others.
There There is definitely quick, immersive read so I would finish that one before anything else. It also has so many storylines that I know I would have gotten confused if I had tried side reads.
As far as the other two, I liked The Chalk Man. I didn't find it as revolutionary as it's been made out to be but a good, easy thriller with some good nostalgia.

Thanks Laura.
I'm only 63 pages into There There. I started it for the read a thon but then needed a break during the last weekend. I'm definitely going to finish it first. I was inclined to pick up Chalk Man next. I've heard a lot of good reviews. Pretty sure whatever I do , Im going to end up having to renew a few. I have a lot of things I've been procrastinating on ...

The Winter of the Witch
Daisy Jones & The Six
I haven't read either, but I'd say Daisy Jones because it's so popular right now that you may run into spoilers if you wait too long lol

I loved Lab Girl. I haven't read your other options.

Come Find Me
Mr. Kiss and Tell (I actually started this as an audiobook a while ago but I didn't like the woman reading it)
Courting Darkness
The Winter of the Witch (ok this is stupid but I don't like the cover so ever since I checked it out and brought it home, I've lost interest)
Golden State
I'm currently reading The Old Drift. Which of the above should I start next?

Oh, my library had a pretty cover for The Winter of the Witch. Must be the UK/US difference! I think you should go with that if you can get past the cover.
I didn't realize The Bear and the Nightingale was a trilogy (I haven't read it yet, but I have it as an option for a few different prompts), so that's cool to know.
I need help picking a book for the NY Public Library prompt. My options are:
Sadie
Yes Please
Heart Berries
My Dear Hamilton: A Novel of Eliza Schuyler Hamilton
The Great Believers
Fates and Furies
So many good options.. how do I choose? (Spoiler: I don't choose. You do.)

I've only read Fates and Furies and Yes Please. I loved Fates and Furies, but a lot of people hate it. It elicits strong reactions. I love Amy Poehler, but I never find celebrity memoirs as funny as I want to. If I were picking for myself out of the others, I think I would go with My Dear Hamilton.

I am reading in order! I was getting tired of heavy books, but I chose The Little Paris Bookshop for the reading prompt, so I'll be ok with a heavier book for next week!
