DHASG March Challenge
Introduction: Hello, it's the third month of 2019. March has arrived. Let's enjoy all the goodness that March has to offer us!
Duration: March 1-March 31, 2019
Rules:
1. Any DHASG member can participate.
2. Sign up at any time during the month, but books must be read between March 1st and March 31st, 2019. Post when you sign up and update your progress regularly and when you finish.
3. Rereads are fine. Reads can overlap with other challenges on the group, but a book can only count once in this challenge.
3. In your stats, write your level, include book name, author, date read, and how it fits the particular challenge point.
4.Have fun!

1. Book Rainbow: Read 9-12 books.
2. Book Winds Blowing: Read 5-8 books.
3. Pot O' Book Gold: Read 3-4 books.
Categories:
1. Herstory: March is Women's History Month. Read a book that celebrates the achievements of women throughout out time or in the present day. Read about a trailblazing or remarkable woman.
2.Bubbles are Good Trouble: The second week of March is National Bubble Week. Read a book that relates to bubbles in some way. A character takes a bubble bath, there are bubbles on the cover, it's a graphic novel and it uses speech bubbles. Here's a list of bubble facts: http://www.trivials.com/science-facts...
3.Employee Appreciation Day: The first Friday of the month of March is Employee Appreciation Day. Read a book with a prominent storyline about a character's interactions with their boss (or as an employee).
4.Old Stuff Day: March 2nd is Old Stuff Day, a day to recognize that "Same Old Thing." However, let's use this day to celebrate something classic and enduring. Read an old favorite or perhaps a book that celebrates something classic and tried and true.
5.I Want You to Be Happy!: March 3rd is I Want You To Be Happy Day. Read a book that has a character who has this feeling, attitude, or intentionality towards another character. You could also read a book where a character takes steps in their own life to be happy.
6.Be Nasty!: March 8th is Be Nasty Day. For a day that celebrates being naughty, read a book with a character who does exactly that. I'll leave it up to you.
7.Panic Day: March 9th is a day that recognizes that tendency to freak out, fret and outright panic about the stuff that's going on in your life. For this challenge, read a book where a character has to confront their feelings or anxiety, fear and panic as part of their story arc.
8.Plant a Flower Day: For March 12th, let's celebrate gardening and flowers. Read a book that includes a reference to flowers in some way. You could use a book that has flowers on the covers or in the name or has a character with a floral name. Here is a list of flowers: https://www.teleflora.com/floral-fact....
9.National Pi Day: March 14th is the same as 3.14 or (π). Pi is a mathematical concept and number that never ends. Here are some facts about Pi: https://www.piday.org/pi-facts/. You can use one of these facts and read a book that represents one of these concepts, or you could read a book that has a mathematically or scientifically inclined character, or a pie-lover or baker.
0.Dumbstruck Day: March 15th is a dumbstruck, so shocked or surprised you cannot speak. Read a book where the lead character experiences this due to some circumstance that happens in the book.
11.Right and Wrong: There is a day for Everything You Do is Right and Everything You Do is Wrong in the month of March. You can read a book with a storyline that plays with these concepts of right and wrong in a strong way.
12.You're a Jewel: Jewel Day is March 13th. Read a book that relates to one of the many precious or semi-precious stones in some say. Title of book, character name, storyline, it's up to you. Here's a list of jewels: https://www.gemrockauctions.com/learn...
13.St. Patrick's Day: March 17th is St. Patrick's Day, which originally celebrates an Irish saint how was said to drive all the snakes off the island of Ireland. It has become a day to celebrate Irish culture and heritage. Read a bpok that celebrates some aspect of this day in a way that speaks to you. 14.Under the Rainbow: When we think of March, we often think of leprechauns and rainbows and pots of gold. The rainbow is composed of the following colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Pick a stripe of the rainbow and read a book for it.
