I see you're writing a series. How long do you recommend waiting until releasing the other books? I have two new books and both have prequels and follow up stories I'm working on.

Right lol. I'm gonna wait just long enough so that when people are done with the first book and they want the second, I'll have released it before they can pick up that whiskey bottle.

I am looking for people interested in reading my horror novel The Wax Factory. I'm trying to build up more readers for it as it didn't gather all that many reads or reviews last year.
If you're interested in reading it head on over to Booksprout and get your copy. It would be much appreciated and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

In the meantime, here are all three books in the series here on Goodreads so you can at least read what each is about from their descriptions.

The series had three different people do each cover. I originally had the person who did the first cover do the second but they did such a poor job and were going to charge me twice as much so I backed out. I found someone new to do The Wax Menagerie on Fiverr. Unfortunately, when I wanted them to do the cover for my book The Short Story Emporium they were going to charge me triple what they did for The Wax Menagerie and I said no. Being afraid I was going to give them a bad rating or whatever they actually deleted their Fiverr account! So I found a third person, the person who did my cover for The Short Story Emporium also did The Wax Papers, Vile Humanity, touched up A Bloody Bloody Mess and did my newest book Brimstone Express.

I was inspired to write the book after watching the 1958 film House of Wax starring Vincent Price. Although, I wanted my idea to focus on a wax business rather than a museum.
The Wax Menagerie, which takes place in the woods behind the factory is loosely based on the folklore of the suicide forest and ancient Indian burial grounds.
The Wax Papers is loosely based on the journal-entry format in which Bram Stoker's Dracula is written.

Chapter 1: Origins
1888
The look of the room was distinguished and impressive with a clean rustic style. The smell within the building was that of a mix between a freshly started fire and the fine smell of polished wood that was just right within the crisp air.
While ceilings are usually built high in factories the ones inside here where at a reachable level and for a good reason. For every five sheets of wood a beam sat nestled between them and it was structured in such a way that it was easy for a person to display something hanging from it.
A sixteen light candle style lithium chandelier hangs from the ceiling as it slowly burns a crimson red flame and dripping wax disappears into the clear glass base. A set of old but hard-working hands reaches over to check on the candles to see if they are burning adequately. The man forms a cheerful smile upon his inspection of the chandelier. He then carefully makes his way down from the ladder and wipes his hands back in forth satisfied with his observation.

I will soon be publishing my sixth novel, The Wax Factory, a modern gothic horror novel. With research included it took me over a year and a half to write. This will be my first true book series as this is book one of three. I will be building up momentum for the book until it’s release which will be in late May or early June.
Would you enter a creepy thought to be abandoned factory without knowing what awaits you on the other side?
All Dmitri Townsend wanted was the perfect college project. When he and his girlfriend Melina hear about the Wax Factory it sounds and looks ideal, but is everything as it seems? It was once the pride and joy of Ghyslain Vandaldrake, the visionary who was Edison, Dr. Frankenstein, and Lovecraft if they had wax fetishes. He sculpted wax for people in the mid to late 1800s but saw his dreams shattered by unforeseen circumstances. Gustav Vanaldrake dreams of reopening the factory that his great-grandfather was forced to sell. However dark sinister forces are at work in the Wax factory and the deeper Dmitri and Melina explore, the stranger things become. Can Gustav reclaim the glory that forced his great-grandfather to never be heard from again?
Will this be the college project to die for?
Perfect for fans of horror and urban gothic, do you dare to step foot in “The Wax Factory?”
