Five apparent strangers are forced to take shelter from the elements in a rest stop off a highway, but there's also a sixth person — a little girl caged inside a van in the rest-stop parking lot and, when it's clear help won't be arriving for hours, Darby Thorne has to figure out who took the girl and how to safely get her out of there.
The plot was good, and well thought out, even though there is an air of suspicion around all the characters, and you suspect there is more you don't know. I was not able to put it all together until the end though, and that made this book good, although there were moments I just wanted to skip pages to the end just to see who lived and who didn't.
Good book with lots of tension, and fast pace. Good for people who like stories about average people outsmarting the criminal.
