I finished! I gave it a 4.5 stars - though it had the rag-tag-space-crew getting-into-things-they-shouldn't-be kinda trope, the magic elements and the sigils and the way the space battles played out and the villain and Nilah and Boots characters gave this read quite a few bumps up the scale.

One gripe: The part where they say 'We don't know why we need to find the Harrow, we just know we need to find it before 'Mother' does.' Like -what? c'mon now.
