1. Did anyone find that the play ended rather suddenly? It seemed as if Ariel just mentioned in acute detail that Alonso and his group were in a troubled state. It seemed as if Prospero was phased by this but rather too sudden? The way the play was written it seemed as if from the time Alonso and his party were beached to the time Prospero dismissed his agenda was all within two nights max. Yet I do believe I read that Prospero had schemed the tempest for 12 years. This was my first play, am I seeing this too critically? Are most plays progression quick?
2. Did anyone notice Antonio, Prospero's brother had but one line in Act 5? Is there any significance to this?
*Excuse my ignorance, the Tempest was actually my second piece of text I have picked up in a long time. It was my first completed play written by Shakespeare. Although I do understand the material I'm not quite sure what to take from a play that seemed to have so much depth yet ended so soon.

Looking forward to hear from everyone!
