2019 Reading Challenge discussion

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would add the books I have read so far in April:

29. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight: A Stylistic and Metrical Study translated by Marie Borroff

31. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight translated by Simon Armitage

I have been reading the Armitage version of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight side by side with the JRR Tolkien version Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Pearl, and Sir Orfeo, but it will take me a while longer to finish Tolkien because it has three additional long poems in it.

I've been having a really rough month emotionally, my grandma had a fall while I was with her, rehab for a broken shoulder, and then a stroke that she didn't make it through. Sooooo.... I of course have thrown myself heavily into my reading as a distraction. There are my books since last update (very end of March and April so far)

Hi everyone,

I haven't been here for some time because there was a book fair to organize in my town and my husband and I were volunteers to help so it kept us very busy.

My reading time was impacted too : I read only 5 books and 7 graphic novels ! I'm even behind my schedule compared to last year but I hope to do better in May :)

It was ! Some thirty writers were invited and gave lectures and signed books ... it was nice to meet them :)
