Finished!
I really like the third part, it was packed with surprises, and made the whole book come together! When I was reading the second part, I kinda thought: "Why didn't it end here?". But now I know why, cause I need to pick up the next book soon.
I still feel like they got it kinda easy at some points, and the author took some shortcuts. Like the storm? They just ended up exactly where they were suppose to be :p It did not influence my experience of the book much, it was just a little annoying.
I gave this 4/5 stars, and I would definitely recommend this to others. Also, I liked this a lot more than Divergent.

I really liked this book and definitely have to read the next.
I actually liked the fact that they killed characters like Jayden, just because most authors seem afraid of killing the characters that influence the story. So eventhough I was sitting there like "nooooo!" afterwards I sent a mental high-five to the author.
But there was one thing I just started wondering over at the end - why did Kira test Marcus' blood in the beginning of the book instead of just using her own?

I did not think about this, but maybe because she wanted him to be a part of it? Wanted to make him understand? Or maybe just wanted an excuse to have him there with her. I don't know, seems like the author needed her not to use her own :p I don' remember exactly if there was another reason.

Totally agree with you! It's cool that in focuses on the science, and not the romance part :) Kind of predictable, but not the ending, I think.

There might have been some other reason in the story, but I don't remember either 'cos I didn't really pay attention to that there, was first until I realized that the story would be spoiled too soon if she had used her own blood that I became curious about it. But her trying to include Marcus would be a good reason, so for the sake of keeping Dan Wells' integrity I'll settle with that explanation.

Ooooooh, hmmm.. curiouser and curiouser! *picking up "Fragments"*

In the beginning I didn't like Marcus at all, it seemed like he wanted Kira under his control and wouldn't let her make her own descisions. The proposal was awful, as if he just wanted to confirm his doubts and suspicions. But further out in the book, I forgave some of his stupid behaviour and came to like him much better.
