The September reading challenges listed above have been updated to require the books to have a minimum page count of 125 pages. This is to make it fairer and avoid very short childrens books being used

Ship Mate
For this game, try to connect SHIP to MATE one link, er, letter at a time. Each row between SHIP and MATE can only have one letter changed from the one below it or the one above it. There are two pirate themed monthly challenges for September. September's A Pirate's Life for Me Reading Challenge and There be Treasure. Gold Dubloons can be earned by everyone who has chosen a pirate name and signed up on the Pirate crew signups.
Once you have completed either of the challenges, add a new comment saying you have completed the challenge with a link to the original post or original post number.
You may then repeat either of the challenges as many times as you like, with a different set of books each time and earn another 2 gold dubloons for each completion.
