When Brandon goes to The Sand Shack to get the money from the safe, Carina makes the decision to accost him inside. Do you think it may have been safer to wait for him to exit? What were the considerations? Good or flawed decision?

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments In this instance, I didn't think this was a good decision. I think she should have waited until he exited the Sand Shack. There were employees and customers inside. Too much of a risk.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments In hindsight, it wasn't a good idea because Brandon was able to take hostages. However, the outcome might have been just as bad had the police waited for him to come out as he could have opened fire on the crowd.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments It did seem to be a no-win decision on timing and proximity, didn't it?

I initially thought it might have been wiser to wait until he came out. But, he could have easily discovered he was in trouble while inside like he did and the hostage situation could have been worse. Their best chance was to approach him before he got inside and they lost that opportunity.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments This is a tough one. I can see why she went inside. If Brandon had seen the police outside he may have panicked and held everyone hostage. Not to mention the chase that may have occurred if she waited for him to come out. Or the fire fight that may have occurred with all those bystanders. Definitely a no-win situation, Charlene.

Carina put herself in danger by not waiting for more backup, but I do agree that it was the only choice she could make given all the people inside who were potential hostages.
